Just so anyone here knows, there's a surprisingly active fan forum for this series here. We discuss a lot of different things over there, and it really does say something about these games in that they are so lovingly remembered after all these years.

I've also thought about it a bit, and it'd probably be better if GOG released these games in packs (similar to the Sierra adventure games). Here's one idea of how they could be sold:

Humongous Classics Collection:
Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise, Putt-Putt Gos to the Moon, and Putt-Putt and Fatty Bear's Activity Pack.

Putt-Putt Pack:
Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo, Travels Through Time, Enters the Race, Joins the Circus, and Pep's Birthday Surprise

Freddi Fish Pack:
Freddi Fish 1-5

Pajama Sam Pack:
No Need to Hide, Thunder and Lightning, You Are What You Eat, and Life's Rough

Spy Fox Pack:
Dry Cereal, Some Assembly Required, and Operation Ozone

Super Duper Arcade Pack 1:
Putt-Putt and Pep's Balloon-O-Rama, Freddi Fish and Luther's Water Worries, Pajama Sam's SockWorks, Spy Fox in Cheese Chase

Super Duper Arcade Pack 2:
Putt-Putt and Pep's Dog on a Stick, Freddi Fish and Luther's Maze Madness, Pajama Sam's Lost and Found, Spy Fox in Hold the Mustard

The two Big Thinkers games and the 3 Junior Field Trips could each have their own pack, and maybe one pack with Backyard Baseball, Backyard Soccer, Backyard Football, and Backyard Basketball together.

Oh my god, please add these games GOG! I grew up on Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, and Freddi Fish! I would perhaps buy the Wii versions, but they would cost too much and are probably inferior ports. These games are clever, beautiful, and extremely interactive. I'd buy every single d*mn one of those games if they were added!

I had no idea! Have you provided a link to this thread, so people could express there support here (if they're interested)? If not, could you? I would agree with you, but the games are being sold by Nimbus for 3 or 5 dollars apiece. I wouldn't really want to see $20 game packs, especially since it has been said GOG won't see old games for over $10. I think it's more likely that there would be a Freddi Fish 1 & 2 pack and a Putt-Putt 1 & 2 + Fatty Bear pack (for 5.99), and then single games for 5.99 each. (Still hoping on soundtracks) The arcade packs are a nice idea, though I think it'd be best to stick with character themes (Pajama Sam Arcade 1 & 2, etc.).

I'm not trying to "put down" those that are interested in Junior Field Trips or Big Thinkers, but I also remember reading how the GOG team is interested in kids' games that have "solid gameplay". I think that the point and click adventures have great gameplay (albeit short), and the Backyard titles probably do too, but I think that the JFT and Big Thinkers games are (from what little I've played) more like "fluff pieces", without a storyline and perhaps more akin to games like Jumpstart and Knowledge Adventure and whatnot.

I wouldn't necessarily mind seeing those here, but my personal focus is on the point and click adventures, since I think they have the best shot of getting here (being precursors to more adult point and click titles).

As an example, the adventure games Flight of the Amazon Queen and Beneath a Steel Sky are legally freeware for their PC versions, but are on the iOS App Store for $2 and $3 respectively. to make the packs a bit more balanced, they could maybe do Freddi 1-3 in one pack and 4+5 in another, and put Pep's B-day Surprise and PJ Sam 4 (the two non-Scumm HE adventures)in a separate pack. As for the arcades, HE once re-released them in the same two sets I described above, so I just reused their categorizing. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the Field Trips or Big Thinkers either, but since this topic seemed to be for all HE games, i thought they should get some representation.

I could understand a site like Big Fish games (whom you are a big fan of, correct?), but I'm still hoping that GOG falls into line there somewhere, if not the "new distribution partner" mentioned there then hopefully a service Nimbus is planning on using to release the Windows version of the HE games (although Mac wouldn't be hard either, given that SCUMMVM works either way).

This is only sorta on topic, but Total Annihilation: Commander Pack (made by Cavedog, a.k.a. HE's division for more mature games) is now available on Mac, and is on sale to celebrate that fact! Never personally played it, but reviews seem to indicate it's a pretty good RTS.
