Barry_Woodward: How many releases per week could GOG manage without overwhelming customers?
It depends on the customers, and the expected mode of buying.

When addressing customers that buy mainly new (to the store) games, desired speed depends on what percentage of games these people buy, and how much they're willing to spend.

For customers who browse the store, buy deals, or come looking for specific games they heard about elsewhere, the more games the better, because larger choice means a better chance they'd find something they want.

I'd consider the second mode more "normal", but "staunch GOG supporters" will fall into the first mode.
Is this supposed to be a joke?

Barry_Woodward: How many releases per week could GOG manage without overwhelming customers? Can they increase output while still allowing each game a chance to shine? Is there a happy medium between their current boutique approach and opening the floodgates like Steam as they continue to grow?
There just are;nt enough old games to go around already so I don't think they will try to up the ante any more than they already have?

Only my use of "GOG bear" in the title of the topic.

That's where indies and newer releases come in. Maybe they could allow in more visual novels or start releasing DRM-free Android titles.

Gateway2006: I think one a week is great gives the game plenty of front page attention and keeps the store from flooding which is a real problem.

Darvond: Flooding? What, were you one of the people who liked the snail's pace of content drip fed on the Wii and DSi?
I sure am
