To me, it sounds like something that would get it an R rating if it were a movie (or an M or AO rating if it were a game). See the phrases "graphic violence" and "graphic depictions of sex".

You mean like the word "strip" in "strip cartoon"? That's why it is important to look at the context in which words are used and not just assume the worst possible interpretation that someone can think of (except, of course, if this is precisely your intention).

The thing is, that is the first interpretation that comes to mind. Same applies to "strip mall" (and, I suppose, "strip cartoon", though this is the first time I've ever seen that term).

Of course, looking at it closely reveals that it isn't what it seems.

(Another similar case: "nuclear family". Boom!)

Edit: Oh, another thing: I don't have any such interpretation of the terim "comic strip"; perhaps this could be because I am used to that phrase and heard it before I heard about stripping, if you know what I mean.

I just watched/played Highway Blossoms.

Would recommend overall. Some flaws, but the main character's trajectory and story is well done. Soundtrack and voice work are strong, art, particularly the landscapes, was good.

You mean your mind. I was working from the word "novel" when I made my assumption as to why some artists might prefer the term graphic novel. But then, English is not my native language and I had to look up what else "graphic" might mean when you made your post in order to understand what you mean.

I'm not much of a VN person but I do praise Dysfunctional Systems (so far only on Steam) and the fault (a.k.a. fault milestone) series (finally here on GOG!).

FWIW I use the term "read" for VNs. Seems to make the most sense...they're "novels", after all.
