Don't forget about Vendor's requet about some herbs, while he wait you in another room, steal everything and sell it back for profit.

ComatosePhoenix: but then I noticed your mana doesn't regenerate.
Mana potions are your friend. In fact, with alchemy skill, you can make potions that will be much more useful in the later game than the basic mana potions.

Also it's worth it to talk to more people in town before you do more dungeoning. Exploring the town provides rewards!

ComatosePhoenix:
I'm confused. Did you manage to somehow find more than one skeleton in the well? Or are you in some place in town I haven't discovered?

And yes, it was a bit confusing at first, I found the well before I reached that elf and the old mage, haha! But in retrospect it's because the game begins at night, I think they really should've made it day, because that way you won't get lost - you'll see you just have to go south and then west, like the healer tells you.

Also congratulations! It's really fun! Hope you don't mind the mage's screams though, I was tempted to play her, but I tried the male mage first, and then went I went for the female mage I realized I can't stand her shrill screams when she gets hit.

Waltorious:
Heh, indeed. Yeah, the clothing is ridiculous in this game, I'm on level two of the Catacombs and I've only found better shoes yet, but given that I play as the male mage I'm fine.

Your build sounds nice, was it fun to play? And yeah, Meteorstrike makes it very easy, I just go blasting and rest whenever I run out of mana.

Actually, I decided to decline his request - after all, it seems sketchy and if he truly needed them, the healer would give them to him since that's his job and part of their oaths. Supposedly the bug when you decline the quest was fixed (I hope!) so it won't break anything later on.

well? I am definitely not in a well. I found a dungeon under the statue. How much plot did I skip 0_o
waiting until morning would definitely have helped. I just thought the world was perpetually dark for some reason.

My build was fun, although it would have been more fun if I'd known more about which skills I would like at the beginning. I spent some points on stuff I didn't end up using. Also it takes a long time to get stats high enough to use the really good weapons, and before that I was stuck with really bad ones. So focusing on magic more at the start would have helped. Later on I was better at hitting things.

I was a little disappointed at the limited opportunities to steal things, though. Most of the time you don't even need sneaking skills, just wait until no one is around and grab stuff. But it wasn't really worth it most of the time, because I could find or buy better equipment, and soon had way too much money anyway.

Did you encounter a frozen elf at some point? Did you help him? The well is related to helping him. If you haven't encountered this yet, you should explore the town some more. There's actually a lot you can do just in the town, before venturing into the dungeon.

Chapter 2:

Alright I exited the dungeon, then still failed to find the sick elf guy in the town. Found a warrior looking for healers to take to a different town, went to tell the healers, got distracted then murdered by zombie Jake. Got fed up walking around town looking for the npc and went back into the dungeon, found some friendly (?!?!) orcs looking for a magic axe, blindly accepted the quest since there is an orc bro helping out slaying skeletons. then I died while reading a book about a man who is bound to a statue for all eternity because of a lovers curse. apparently the man himself is a zombie and actively hostile :/
i got semi-stuck while trying to open all the teleport gates/waypoints first. one of the teleports was in some haunted church with a skeleton army i wasn't ready to beat yet. after that i got distracted by other games.

was using a sub-optimal build with a male warrior, have skill points in stun, some defensive skill i don't remember the name of , that skill for "socketing" weapons with magic orbs ,and summon skeleton.
