Very well played, Atlo! I had you as solid town. Joppo was scummy, but was saved by micro being even more scummy and implying, that he wasn't Neutral. (At least he did, when I was alive and asked)

But at least my feeling that Scene was Town this time and my refusal to lynch him was correct. Not that it did us any good.

PookaMustard: Now that the game is over, please stay by her side. I wish she gets well fast!
avatar
Catventurer: Recovery is expected to be four to five weeks. I already plan to not be available during that time.

avatar
PookaMustard: Closing posts, you can guess who gets the honor of being compared to Nosferatu himself.
avatar
Catventurer: Oh! I just reread the post! I must have missed it the first time around,

"Their love radiated like sunlight, as if to disintegrate Count Orlock - or rather, Stuart."
Yeah, please take all the time out, we'll be here when you're back.

Speaking of, this is probably my first time writing genuine romance. Did I overdo it? But I think love in general is that intense and in your face, as shown by the other couple Joey and Marisa.

Atlo: Is this nightmare finally over?!?!?!
This was fun...
Let's do this... NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!
You have NOOO IDEA how stressful this was!!! (Well... maybe you actually do.)

I'm out. For the next 2 years I want nothing to do with Forum Mafia!
(Should Lifthrasil, however, one day flesh out his Police Academy setup -- I want to pre-order a first row observation seat to that game.) ;)

This was one roller-coaster ride I'm in no hurry to ever get on again.
I hope you reconsider. I admit being scum is tiresome and a bit mentally exhausting, but it's also a very thrilling experience. Besides, there's one perk the scum players get that you don't get when you're playing for Town: you get to see your teammates when they're being themselves the most. Townies are honest, but they need to measure their words to not risk being seen as scummy. The scumteam are the ones that have the highest chance of turning simple camaraderie in real friendship.
Plus there is something to be said about having someone facing the same emotional rollercoaster together.

avatar
Atlo: Are you talking about my end-of-day-3 vote post? :<
I considered that to be one of my Towniest posts! o_O
It was... right until the end.
Scene's explanation says it all.
avatar
MrKrabsWallet: Yeah, I try(key word) to be more laid back with these sorts of games and things in general(not letting too much get to me and whatnot)...I find it makes the game(and life) more enjoyable/tolerable :)
I think your approach is the best. By all means, you (and each of us) should strive to become better players... but if the game turns into a chore what is the point?

maxleod: Well done Town!
avatar
Atlo: Do, please, learn to be more active! ;(
It would, literally, have taken just 3 words to cancel your lynch!!
I was sad to see you getting lynched in the first Day, but it was understandable from Town's point of view. Your faction needed you to be more active in the game. When a player is not active it is very risky to leave them alone, because if Town does that then scum can just sit back, stop talking and lurk their way to victory.

Anyway it's sad to see a player come and go from a game without having fun with it. But more than any of us you had the tools to change that.

Like Joppo said, I really hope you reconsider. I consider mafia team's private chat to be like going to Bad-Anon. You may not enjoy or like your role, but you're important to the game. If there's no bad guy, there's no game.

No, I litteraly never had a chance; I clearly remember that it was Friday morning, I had one vote, yog and micro had two, I came back a few hours later I was lynched. Nothing I could have done. Anyway I'll still join the next game.
avatar
MrKrabsWallet: I was like "maybe I can get ONE of them to try and quick vote before I change it up"...but alas, it didn't happen.
Ah well, still had fun playing the game regardless :)

(p.s. apologies to Joppo for making ya waste time at work trying to do a quickhammer with Atlo)
Don't worry, i only took a little time off work when it wouldn't cause any trouble. Besides, putting out a simple post doesn't take long. If I had to read the game thread, look for signs of scummity, elaborate a reply and reads on the other players... THAT takes time! But it wasn't the case.

Your plan could have worked if we didn't have daychat, which you didn't know about. Even then it almost worked by dumb luck... Had you taken 10 seconds longer to unvote that ABORT wouldn't have helped much. You could have unvoted between mine and Atlo's votes, or right before both.

Catventurer: @ Mafia (Alto / Joppo) Specifically - Thank you for taking me out when you did. No seriously. My cat has been doing better for the most part, but my mom was recently diagnosed with DCIS and goes in for surgery on Wednesday. I've actually been a bit of an emotional wreck over here.
Ouch. I wish that it all goes well for her, you, Duke Ellington and all your pets.

I do not know what DCIS is so excuse me while I go educate myself.

yogsloth: Congrats wolves! Well played.

Wish I had gone atlo instead of Lift... not that it would have made much difference.

Big thanks to Pooka for all the great flavor. Makes it a treat to see yourself as a character in someone else's play.
Thanks for playing. It was good seeing you again. I hope you get better soon.

I meant in the whole week. You didn't say much in the days before the lynch happened. I'm sure that if you had at least one or two posts each day and a few reads you wouldn't be the primary lynch target.

Either way I hope you will have more fun in the next game. These games are fun, they just require some engagement.

Oh, I got better a long time ago lol.

I had that "RSV" virus or whatever it was called. My whole family did. Knocked everyone over flat for a week or so each. But then it went away. :)

What would be the point, indeed :)

That aside, do make sure to read post 356 if ya haven't yet done so.
(I replied a bit to some of you/Atlo's scum chat, etc)

Thanks! Duke Ellington sees his vet on Monday. I already know that she's going to want to do another glucose curve on him and while I normally would agree to it, there's the issue that he's going to go into a hunger strike for days afterwards and need to be syringe fed again... so not worth upsetting him. I'll let her do a Frutosamine test instead to check his diabetes.

He's a happy cat a the moment though, probably because I saw an old Fleetwood Mac concert was going to be on this one channel, recorded it for him, and he's watching/listening to it right now.

All the best for your Mum CatV. Hopefully it's early stage and the recovery is quick. Try to stay positive for her and yourself

Glad to hear your kittuh is a bit happier as of late, and I also add in my well wishes for your mum :)

Thanks, GR! Two of my cat's shows (American Idol and The Voice) are coming back next month, so that's more stuff to make my cat happy. I just play games on my computer with the sound off while he watches his shows.
