Actually, Catte is my highest suspect, but I have to take the Word of God about his towniness (and not open the theological can of worm of God as being potential bastard).

Cat and Lifth both feel town to me, but in different ways : Cat felt psychologically town to me, Lifth felt technically town to me. As I said, I'd find it awkward to have been mislead by Cat's emotional attitudes (it would be too meta, too bordeline "instrumentation of IRL factors") and I would find it classy to be mislead by Lifth. And also unclassy if Catte was a second godfather. So I think I'll bet on things being elegant (because world).

But also, in my incertitude (I actually hoped to be nightkilled and not having to deal concretely with my bafflement) I think I kinda owe a vote to Dedo, and he was a bit adamant about Lifth. So, I'l probably end up giving him my voice, and voting in his name. With, of course, if Lifth turns out town, his own obligatory "yaddi yaddo columbo yaddaddi dumb and all".

But it's also a way to de-responsabilize myself. Which I'm happy to do. I find it more comfortable to be wrong in full conviction than to be right with too much doubt to own it.

I still give myself a chance to find a smoking gun (always my dream of mafiagames to be rationally solvable, which they aren't, which distresses me at a profound metaphysical level because world).

I wrote all the above, like 6 or 7 hours ago, and then I had to focus on other stuff, and now I'm back to it, and reading the thread, and inda giving up. I'll vote for Lifth by default. Not for scummy stuff (the scummiest stuff is the day 1 help thingy, in my eyes, but nobody else seems to agree - in fact, Joe being the only one somewhat agreeing with it is part of why I started suspecting him, I'm so grouchoclubey), simply because Cat felt even more townie, or would be even more devious if scum - seriously, the scum interpretations of her posts are quite hardcore. Would be interesting, but damn.

Well it's a good thing I got investigated. The bad thing is that there are 3 viable suspects for me. I could do something out of leftfield and vote for Telika, but then I'd feel solely responsible if I was wrong. One thing that can be said for certain is that there is at least one townie already voting for Lift - or two if they're right. If it's not Lift then I can at least claim I was led astray by the townie already voting for him.

This is all a longwinded way of saying I see no reason to prolong this.

"It's because none of you wants to speak up!" Alita smiled. "Deep in the back of my mind...I know it's you!!"

"Well," Misa licked her lips, "you'd have to convince the other two, I think." She waved her hand towards both Makise and Faye.

"I'm sorry," Faye looked at Alita with slight pity, "I think you need to go."

Makise shrugged. "It's obviously you."

"See?" Misa picked a chair up. "They're not going to root for you."

Natsume-sensei saw the scene unfolding from beyond the window. Fearing any more violence, she rushed outside in hopes of stopping this.

"Guys, you've got to believe me! She's radiating that kind of evil aura that Asuka and Hazama had!" Alita tried to pick another chair.

"No can do!" Misa swung her chair in full force at Alita's chair, the force of the blow causing Alita to fall on her back with the chair on top of it. She faints.

"Wait..." Faye paused. "I don't think Alita had an ability."

Misa giggled at the late realization. "You're quite an observant girl, aren't you?" Looking at the other two girls, she licked her lips.

Battle Angel Alita (Lifthrasil) will be hospitalized. She was Town Vanilla.

"Wait, what's with that smile you've got?" Makise stepped backwards.

"Nya." A ray of light engulfed Misa. After a half-second of the blinding flash, Misa emerged, but not in her usual look. For some reason, she had paws with long, sharp claws. A long tail wiggling out of her back. Her hair had those cat ears popping out. Heck, even her nose was a feline's, and to top it all off, she sure had cat whiskers.

Misa Amane (joppo) was Mafia Goon.

Both Faye and Makise froze in their place, sweat rolling down their foreheads. "What the..." Makise spoke quietly, yet loud enough for Misa's ears to pick it up and perk upwards.

"Nyaaahaha, that feels good." Misa licked her cat arm. "Finally I can transform in school. Now, which one of you is a stupid magical girl?"

The girls turned around and ran in two different directions.

"Nice try!" Misa jumped on Makise with all her weight, knocking her down to the ground.

Makise Kurisu (catte) was Town Vanilla.

She also quickly ran over to Faye, and dragged her by the collar right next to where Makise was, also put her down on the ground, and then ecstatically sat down on both of them. "And here I thought I was gonna have the luxury of choosing who to use as a pillow first. A cat can't have fun these days."

Faye Valentine (Telika) was Town Vanilla.

It was by then that Natsume-sensei showed up. All she had on her to defend herself was the teacher's ruler. She was the kind of teacher to end issues with diplomacy, never one for violence, but in this case she neither had the strength nor diplomacy to stop this thing from ongoing. That was when she figured she could throw a last ditch effort. "What is it that you want?" Natsume-sensei lowered the ruler. "You don't have to do all this crap! Tell me what you want! Money? Grades? Presents?"

Misa laughed at the idea of Natsume-sensei bargaining her to leave the girls alone. "Nah, I'm good."

Natsume-sensei was actually getting angry now. "Then what is it you're doing all this for!?"

Misa brought her pawhand to her chin, as if evoking the thinking emoji. "Yeah, what am I doing all this for...something to do with the void legion taking over the school? Ah I don't know, all I know is it's fun!" Her face was all bright and happy, but it suddenly turned into a frown. "Actually I haven't heard back from them since. Nyaaaha...ha... oh well, I had fun at least."

When that happened, I saw how unnecessarily charged your comment was, and honestly, I didn't like it on a personal level. Catventurer didn't like it either, so much so that she didn't feel like joining the next game. I didn't want it to come down to having Catventurer leave GOG Mafia, so that's why I intervened. I'll admit I could have left it after the game, but on top of the substitution issues I had with running this game I was in the "keep the ship from sinking" mode.

All I really wanted was the game to be fun for everybody, but I realize this game was rocky on that front.

CatV threatened to leave way before I said anything in that regard. That's exactly why took a step back and didn't keep pushing. Just like you didn't like this on personal level because both you and CatV knew the criteria for the result was already satisfied, I didn't and still don't appreciate when someone decides to use such types of excuses to avoid getting caught. I'm aware that this is a game of lying and deceit but then there are lies and lies. Some things are to be respected on basic human level and when those are being used as a shield under fire I, personally, lose any trust (and to be honest a little bit of respect) for the people who believe the spirit of the game allows it.

Maybe I'm wrong and it wasn't intentional and things just went that way on their own for some reason in which case I apologize to CatV but I also have my own convictions and things I won't stand for. If that's a problem there is no need for CatV to skip games. I'll do it instead and everyone should be happy.

You just seemed so suspiciously certain. I would have expected a little more doubt or hesitance from a townie in your position.

Yeah that was brutal. Got parasited early by the weird Cat/Frost interaction, a lot of cumbersome stuff we had to push aside. But Cat's points were so often moralistic that I was like "woah, that would be rich, coming from someone who's actively trying to lie and deceive everyone else". Also her points were extremely defensive of townies, so while there was a tiny hint of "does she actually know their affiliation", it was overshadowed by "she would be more open to keep dirt on them". It threw me off at each re-read.

I personally hadn't seen Dedo's "threat" to Cat as an issue (just found it ironical after his own "you're really starting to get on my nerves" appeals to emotion - which had actually a further triggering effect on me), I had found it somewhat correct and fun, and shrug it off, but I also assumed that Cat/Pooka (and possibly Dedo himself) saw it as less lighthearted than I did. I didn't realize that he could have touched a nerve.

Also I was quite sure Dedo was with Joe/Buck, but I showed it in a freely irritating way, because if I was wrong, there was still (in my own eyes) a comedic effect of my own level on conviction : I felt potentially like the cop character in stories à la The Monster, facing a main protagonist who's always accidentally in the most compromising situation. It wasn't as blatant as the Frost or Scene behaviours (after Frost mislynch, I saw Scene as "too scummy"), it was more sneaky. Simply did fit so well. Must have been infuriating, sorry for having been laughing at that. Would have been cool if correct, though, and I honestly thought this was way more likely than Cat or Lifth's guilt.

Anyway, hindsight and all that.
