I... don't know. I'd vote babark if only to remove a distraction, but I think razza is a better choice today.

But... I'm getting stronger Townie vibes from Joe now.

You think razza's feigning naivety and lying about having role results?

You're not counting babark's vote on Catte in post #813, or did you miss it because his reply is within the quotes? He affirmed it stands in post #816.

dedoporno: [...] If I responded to that it would defeat the purpose of not going into details about RW. [...]
Colour me intrigued.

dedoporno: [...] It's supposed to read "That being said some potential recent findings are making me reconsider things once again". [...]
[emphasis added]

I have a bit of a hard time following the part I highlighted. Is "potential" a characterisation of "recent" or of "findings"? I'd think that if it were the former you'd say "potentially recent", so I assume it's about the findings? In which case, what exactly do you mean with "potential" here? Please, clear this up for me.

avatar
dedoporno: [...] Then I realized Dessimu being NKed by scum actually may not be that non-sensical after all in which case my concerns may not be holding as much water as I thought. More so for RW than babark, though.
This Is another "I can't go into details", isn't it?

So. dedoporno thought JoeSapphire was hinting at being a Desperado and considering a shot at him, aka.he's got a town read on JoeSapphire.

@dedoporno, could you talk about how and when you landed on town read JoeSapphire? How confident are you in it?

avatar
JoeSapphire: [...] I was hoping the trauma would have etched this lesson into dedo's memory too, and allow me to trust that dedo would never have accepted a dessimu kill. [...]
Just to make sure I understand what you're saying here - if dedporno was scum, he'd never agree to the Dessimu NK because there were better targets, is that what you're saying?

avatar
JoeSapphire: augh, do I have to analyse the data as well as creating it?? It's 1 am I need to sleep i'll do it tomorroowwwww [...]
Well, when I asked you it was around 9 pm your time, it's not my fault you spent all these hours editing your neked pics for dedoporno.

Am I to assume that you won't answer the questions I asked you about dedoporno and detective_razza in post #812?

RWarehall: [...] While I'm trying to figure game balance too. It's hard to balance given given Town roles which may or may not have been claimed yet. We have a nerfed Watcher/Tracker; a Rolestopper who seems unable to stop a night kill, hence why not use it night 2; and an unclaimed PR from Razza.

This against one Goon and we don't know what else. There is just not enough information to determine game balance. Too much shifts depending upon Razza's and/or Babarks's role and alignment. As it stands, we have weak roles that would be consistent with weak scum roles, or we have more, and scum will likely be stronger. [...]
You forgot that FrostburnPhoenix was the Town Copier.

Does this change anything?

Bleh, got distracted on the phone.

*refreshes*

It seems that the babark/JoeSapphire thing is concluded?

The thoughts I mentioned having on the matter is that it looks like the attempt of someone trying to figure out what happened that made his action fail while trying to not give away he's got a protective PR, and the latter resulted into him doing it in a clumsy, roundabout way that made the whole questioning look suspect to some. That's the feeling I have.

I don't count votes that are in quotes. Otherwise it is too easy to cast accidental votes when replying to someone. Post #816 doesn't contain a vote either. So no, babark's vote doesn't count. He'll have to cast it in an unambiguous way according to the rules.
I wasn't allowed to edit the post either, I blame the forum!

vote catte

Editing isn't allowed at all. As written in the rules. What you can do, when you notice such an error, is an 'edit by way of post'. I.e. you write a new post, either after 10 minutes have passed or someone wrote a bump post. In that new post you write the correction. That means you type what you meant to write, but this time correctly.

There is even another acronym for that: EBWOP (= Edit By Way Of Post)

Like this:

EBWOP:
I didn't mean to write quote books, I meant
unvote books
That's another abbreviation learnt, after the fact, then :D

This game has far too many inside baseball references!

JoeSapphire: what does anyone else think? on the one hand babark's "I don't understand what Joe's getting at" seems genuine. On the other the scum-babark-killed-frostburn, asked-those-questions-to-look-like-he-had-nothing-to-do-with-it, then false-claimed-rolestopper is plaaauusible though I'm doubting it already putting it into words.
This is a thought that had occurred to me as well. Oops, I started writing this hours ago and got distracted. But yes, "I targeted the dead person but it looks like I wasn't able to protect them." is a pretty text book claim for someone who went murdering and thinks they may have been observed. I guess I'll post this and see if there are any new posts made since.

My brain is frazzled now. I think the data shows that me and AZ are the mafia so whoops. It's not me.
Catte and Razza didn't join in so they deserve a good lunch.
It's cute that AZ and zfr gave each other vote immunity but no-one else did. I hope they're the mafia.

I'll try and come back to this once I've eaten or something.

Sorry I never told you - game 68. Enjoy.

Razza is closest to Lynch at L-3

The Day will end in about a day.
wait- what? so babark has a protective PR? or is claiming to have one?
what’s the possibility of having more than one protective PR within town in one game?

Oh boi.

I want to vote babark now........
omg razza...

it's possible but it's not usual.

Babark is claiming to have a role which is usually protective, but didn't actually manage to protect Night One.

The way the role typically works, the fail-to-protect could have happened because of a mafia ability.

It's possible the role is a variation that isn't able to protect kills, but I'd expect Babark to have been told, and in that case it tends to be more damaging to town than useful, judging by mafiascum wiki.

Now that is an interesting question. Most of the time there's only one, but sometimes there might be a backup or something (we had a backup of sorts in the copier).
