Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Again I try Galaxy for the Mac, again I end up pulling my hair out, not a good experience.

Why does it tell me a game is not compatible when it is.

Also when I opened Galaxy it told there was an update so update I did, it then told me it was moving files or something and I assume crashed on doing that because it stayed like that for several hours until I shut it down.

a4plz: So what's new in today's silent patch?
More bugs.
Just wanted to report that something has definitely changed that cripples performance a bit.

I played the game a lot from release till about the end of the year. Have an i5-4670K and a GTX 970, had everything on ultra apart from "Foliage distance", "Shadows" and "Number of background characters" which were set to high. I had 60fps everywhere, even in the center of novigrad with all those NPC's, just constant 60fps without trouble (Vsync is on)

After getting into the game last month again, i noticed that i now get serious drops of 8-10fps in the same areas which were constant 60fps before. I started looking into it and i noticed that even on lowest settings i still couldnt maintain good fps, with drops to 50fps for several seconds.

Today i decided to run the game without the galaxy client, instead i run the executable directly and i noticed that it runs perfectly smooth, no drops nothing and constant 60fps.

Something is very wrong with the galaxy client currently. Didn't have these issues last year. Making the game stutter so much, up to 10fps for several seconds is just a bit too much.

Hope it gets a fix soon.
I'd like to see improvements to the chat. If someone sends me a message, I'd like to have a separate chat window pop up, like how it is with Steam. Also some sort of sound notification as well would be nice.

The current behaviour with just the Galaxy icon blinking on the taskbar and then opening the main window wherever you were if you click it, that's just not good enough for me.

And please, support for overlay in more games (I want overlay in the Deponia games).
There are some problems with accessing windows registry lately it seems. I believe I am not the only one who can see all those posts about missing settings and some other problems (ie. failed to load game database).
Today aarona8511 made a suggestion to keep the settings in %appdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy\ path rather than registry or %allusersprofile%\ what indeed deosn't seem like a bad idea, perhaps in good old .ini file: )

Seconding this. Running a game CPU usage goes to almost 100% and stuttering and when fully idle 45-50%. Shut down Galaxy and idle dropped to 17% and goes barely to 70% when gaming.
So is no one from GOG going to help me with Witcher 3 not launching at all if the overlay is enabled? I've filled a bug report on Mantis more than a week ago and I've got no response or sign of life from GOG whatsoever.
Hi everyone! I have a question about The Witcher 3 update with Galaxy. I recently installed Galaxy again (after having a new pc) and added The Witcher 3 to the library (which was installed on a different hard drive partition). Now Galaxy wants to download a 9.2 GB patch/update for it. But when I start TW3, it says it's version 1.12 (the latest). What is Galaxy downloading then?
Could it be that the ingame display is wrong and says it's already the latest version, even if the download isn't completed yet? The reason I'm asking is, that I haven't played TW3 since last year. An 1.12 was released a few months ago, so I don't see why it should be version 1.12 now ...

And a second quesion: Will it be possible to download the Blood & Wine expansion on an external hdd an then install it later? At home I have a very bad internet connection and limited download capacity. I'd like to download it somewhere else and then install it at home. Is that possible?

Thanks!
Hi there!

I noticed same problem as paprikaman above me. Already had patched to 1.12.1 and after update to latest beta got notification about this 9.2 Gb update. I left client to update Witcher3 during night and everytime finished downloading & installing, it failed and immediatelly and started downloading again. Whole night!

I thought uninstall will help, so I did and reinstalled. At the end installer failed with "installer configuration failed".
No everytime I ran Galaxy client try to download whole game + DLC again -- around 35 Gb of data.

I regret I didn't check windows logs before, application log is full of this:

Access to C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\support\1207664643\1207664643\galaxy_witcher3_content_system_2.0.0.43.exe has been restricted by your Administrator by location with policy rule {c40649bc-caeb-4634-bea6-bdc27dfe31db} placed on path C:\ProgramData\*.com.

If I go to this directory and manually try to run file "galaxy_witcher3_content_system_2.0.0.43.exe" *WITH* admin privilege system denies execution with message "your system administrator has blocked this program. ..."

Em ... what? I am admin ...

Edit: figured what policy is this -- belongs to CryptoPrevent. Guess I have to do my homework first :)

Edit 2: disregard all my rant above -- my problem was indeed connected to CryptoPrevent program -- I put all relevant EXE files that reside in %ProgramData% on whitelist, reboot & reinstall of Galaxy clients and later of whole game -- no more messages + game run w/o problems.

Of course, you can download all DLCs and installation files from gog.com or via Galaxy Client and install them later.

It's probably caused by overlay.
Any chance of turning the default setting to be 'manual' update for galaxy?

The problem is if you install a game on a new machine galaxy won't let you disable auto-updates 'before' you install the game, so it will download the update, then you can go back and revert it to the version you actually want.

It is very annoying if you are having issues with mods and trying to do a clean install to sort out problems
Heads up simple planes has the overlay now too, guess that brings us up to 3 games with it?

Great. Too bad I still can't launch my Witcher 3 with the overlay. <_<
Sorry for spamming and repeating like crazy that I have this problem, but seriously, someone, anyone, could finally try to help me. I don't think my mantis report is ever going to be acknowledged at this point. It's on its way to UNESCO's list of world heritages.

If you're nVidia user you may try different drivers, game never started for me with any of 35x.xx series (older and newer worked fine), also set Power management mode to prefer maximum performance, that resolved some problems with overlay for me in the past..
