== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

LunarWhale: I'm having a strange issue. I downloaded and installed GOG Galaxy, but any time that I try to open up the program, it completely scrambles my keyboard inputs and mouse clicks. Whenever I try typing, nothing happens and instead it seems to activate some macros or something. When I try to click in a browser like say, Chrome, left-clicking a link automatically opens up the "save as" prompt. Anyone else have this issue or able to offer any advice? I've tried redownloading/reinstalling it, and the problem persists when I close out of the program. I would like to check it out, but this isn't giving me a good first impression.
I got the exact same issue. Didn't have it on old Win7 install, swapped to Win8.1 for a while (2 days) until it crashed and re-installed Win7 again and Gog Galaxy is acting up like this.
Terraria is downloading an update over 800MB? This doesn't seem right. Terraria is less than 200MB when installed, I don't see how it has such a huge update? There is nothing in the update notes that looks to count for this huge increase in patch size. The standalone installer (while compressed) doesn't seem to have increased in size by much, so this does not make sense.

Just want confirmation this is the correct size and that Galaxy isn't downloading something it shouldn't be. Thanks.

I'm getting this, too. I'll just deactivate auto-updating for it until this is clarified, especially since I have a data cap.

UndeadNecro: So, I've been too lazy to post about this of so far but I have an issue with GOG Galaxy. My antivirus, Kaspersky, is blocking the connection and usage of the program. I have to close Kaspersky to use it but then if I get connected and logged in and turn it back on, it blocks / disconnects me again. Any way to fix this? I'm pretty sure I tried adding it to the list of exceptions but that didn't work and I still have time on my Kaspersky license so I'm not too fond of, y'know, getting a new security program.
Look in Kaspersky's configuration to see if there is a way to create exceptions for false positives. If there is, add Galaxy and/or the Galaxy download directories as exceptions as it's rather unlikely that GOG's servers are going to be issuing malware laden code. If there is no way to configure that, or if you're not comfortable adding a security exception then the only other thing left to do is to submit it to Kaspersky for review so they add an exception officially on their end as ultimately it is a false trigger on their part, or alternatively waiting until enough other people submit it to get them to do so however that will likely take days/weeks/months.

Other than disabling the A/V software, configuring it to allow an exception, or waiting for the vendor to issue an update that properly recognizes the software as being safe though, there aren't a lot of other options. There's nothing GOG can do on their end other than submitting false positives to them themselves which I'm sure they probably already do with various A/V companies once they're aware, but the more people that make noise to the A/V company the sooner they look into it under the squeaky wheel doctrine. :)
Is there a way to mass backup your entire library, without having to go to every single game individually?

Me too, which is why I was going to update it because normally updates are small since the game is small. Then I seen 800 MB and that just doesn't seem possible.

Not sure what is going on there...

AlBQuirky: Sorry for the interruption and possible redundant post (have not read all 39 pages), but I found a slight "inconvenience."

I re-installed win 7 and am now working on getting my machine back to normal. After re-installing Galaxy, I am now ensuring all my previously installed games are installed. As I am doing this, I noticed that when I get to the game at the bottom of the game in my current window space, the drop down menu disappears below the window. I can see the "Install" choice, but all other choices are "out of the window space."

Now, I can scroll down and have the pull down visible. But the bottom (last line of games on the page) of my library, I get the first 3 options and all others are hidden. Is there a way to "detect" the position and adjust the drop down to go "drop up?"

Back to the regularly scheduled argument :)9

skeletonbow: I think I encountered that before also but it's been a while. Probably a good idea to check mantis.gog.com to see if the issue is already reported and add comments or file a new bug report if not. Good idea to attach a screenshot of the issue as well.

Hope this helps.
Thanks! Just visited there and included screenshots.

Search the forums or via web search for "gogrepo.py", it is a python script someone wrote for doing just that.

Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks! Would still be a nice feature to have included in the client.
Why did the overall download progress and speed bar disappear? When I'm downloading things I no longer get an indication that I'm downloading something.

dudalb: Just bought Tropico 4 and GOG Galaxy refuses to install it. It goes to the EULA screen, I click accept but then I just get the damn circle spinning.
Could you report it to us via Mantis (details in sticky post on top)?
Thanks!

I'm not sure about the 200MB. Isn't it over 900MB? The installer is about 200MB as I recall.

JunBerry: After one or two sessions of fully functional use of GOG Galaxy, the client no longer starts.
I'll try to debug the problem. Could you in the mean time create a ticket on Mantis? Much appreciated, thanks! :)

Can you only view your four last created tags when attempting to tag things? I'm getting really tired of arranging my GoG shelves just to have an update erase it all.

Nope, I checked the version right before the latest patch (released last week I think), I right clicked on the Terraria folder and it is listed as a little over 150 MB installed. Well that is what Windows is reporting anyway. It was never a large game. But apparently this last patch has a butch of images that pushes it up to over 800 MB installed. Not sure why.

This list should be scrollable, so you should be able to see all of them. See screenshot below

I have the "Galaxy grey window" problem. Running Galaxy under Win 8.1 with "Run this program as an administrator" enabled.

Have tried every sugestion that was given on this post and also on the Galaxy FAQ but no success.
Unistalled and deleted any folder that had anything to do with galaxy, even under Program Files (x86) and hiden folder ProgramData, Redownloaded the newest client from galaxy site ( ver 1.0.5.14) and intalled it.
Tried even closing the servises with the comand promt advise but still no success.

Only way i can get Galaxy to run "Normal" is if i set it to run in WinXP(sp3) under the compatibility tab.

/edit for typos.
