Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Have we found a solution to reinstalling GoG to a drive other than the initial install drive? I'd like it on my C:\ SSD rather than my D:\ HDD

Faenix1: Hopefully this is the right forum.
Before I get some crap, as per usual, for having an outdated PC I'll just state I'm not complaining just merely asking out of curiosity.

Any particular reason why GOG Galaxy client requires Windows 7 or later? I'm still running Vista and it appears this is the only client I've come across where it isn't supported. Find it kind of weird and disappointing at the same time.
Well, i don't know, but i would guess the reason is perhaps related to GOG not having enough resources to test against more than W7, W8, W8.1, W10, Mac OSX and some popular Linux distros (assuming they do actually run test suites on different target OS's).

Have you tried running the client on your box already? Galaxy client being unsupported for a Vista does not necessarily mean that it does not run on this Windows version. Of course, keep in mind that a current version running properly now on Vista will not guarantee that future versions of the client will still run on Vista. Vista not being supported probably also means not getting help from the support team for any Vista-related problems with the client...

No, no proper solution/bug fix for this issue yet, as it seems.
Fortunately someone found a workaround for this problem. See the comment for issue #2575 in GOG's Mantis bug tracker.

If this helps anyone - if you're suffering from game&extras backup downloads pretty much constantly "failing" after a short time when using Galaxy ("disc access problem" error) - temporarily disable your antivirus (in my case - Avast).
No idea what it is that makes these two applications incompatible.
I made this how-to on fixing the install directory issue.

It's because they said they ran into some issues on Vista and XP that they fixed but didn't like the look of for the future of the client. Having said that Galaxy works just fine on Vista right now even if it's not officially supported, a future update may change that, but right now it's fine.

They have said they will not block the client from running on Vista or XP.
Great program :)
Galaxy is exactly what I have wanted for a long time, which is a steam manager without DRM. I hope that it will be a game changer in a gaming world loaded with DRM. Thank you, GOG!

Galaxy works fine for most of the games that I have. But there are some games which show apparent issues. I don't know if these issues happen only for me or for many people. But I just want to remind GOG people of these issues so that they can fix them.

(1) installation of the games 'Unrest' and 'Outlast' doesn't work no matter how I tried. The games themselves work fine (if I start the game in a usual way without using Galaxy, they start fine). I just cannot install these games through Galaxy.
(2) The avatars of YS I & II on the left side area don't show up (Galaxy keeps on searching for the avatars for these games).
(3) Overall Galaxy is slow. When I start Galaxy, it takes a lot of times until Galaxy recognizes the installed games.

Many games work fine only on Windows XP/Vista. For this reason I set up my computer works for Windows XP/7/8/Linux. Hopefully GOG will keep Galaxy available for Windows XP/Vista in the future (If it is necessary to reduce the features of Galaxy just for XP/Vista, it would be OK as far as the fundamental functions of Galaxy is working for XP/Vista as much as Windows 7/8/10).
Septerra Core does not launch from the Gog Galaxy client. I have to manually open my gog folder and launch it from there.

Thanks, Phaidox, that was happening to me, just randomly in the middle of some otherwise successful imports?
Can I use command line launch options with GOG Galaxy? This is a very important feature, I need to limit the frame rate in Far Cry 2 for example (Currently I'm using MSI Afterburner): http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Far_Cry_2:_Fortune%27s_Edition#Bouncing_NPC_glitch

Try modifying the "goggame-<somenumber>.info" file which you should find in FarCry 2's game folder.

In this .info file, look for the primary task definition. It should look similar to this example (note the "isPrimary" property which indicates this being the primary task):

{
"isPrimary" : true,
"type" : "FileTask",
"path" : "SomeExecutable.exe",
"workingDir" : ""
},

(FYI: I do not own FarCry 2, hence i can only illustrative examples. But i am sure you figure out which one is the right task in the .info file.)

Add the desired command line options to the "arguments" property of this primary task. If the task does not yet have an "arguments" property (as in my example), add it to the task with the command line options you desire. You should end up with something like this:

{
"isPrimary" : true,
"type" : "FileTask",
"path" : "SomeExecutable.exe",
"workingDir" : "" ,
"arguments" : "-some -command -line -options"

},

Note that if you add the "arguments" property to the task, do not forget to add a comma at the end of the line preceding the "arguments" property (in my example that line would be the one with the "workingDir" property).

After you have done the modifications and saved the .info file, you might perhaps need to restart the Galaxy client.
Give it a try...

A very important note of caution:
Make sure that the data structure of the .info file is intact and does not contain errors. The data in the .info files is in JSON format. If your modifications are incorrect and the modified .info file contains broken/invalid JSON data, then the Galaxy client might remove the game from the list of installed games (in which case you would need to scan+import the game after fixing the broken .info file).

P.S.: It obviously would make sense if the client UI would provide means for an easy configuration of command line arguments. But until such a feature is available, one has to resort to editing files manually -- or not using the client to start such games ;)

Any plans to be able to choose an 'and' rather than 'or' search on tags?
I want to find games that are 'RPG' AND 'Top Down / Isometric' AND 'Real Time' or example, not be shown all the games that I've given ANY of these tags to!

I had no luck with this. When installed on my C:\ drive, attempting to open Galaxy does not result in an error message, simply nothing visibly happens. With process explorer I can see that the galaxy client service is opens, nothing happens, and then closes after like 7 seconds. Haven't found any solutions or work arounds to it. It simply does not want to work correctly on my C:\

That's unfortunate. The workaround helped me once. But as it seems there are more things broken than just the uninstaller forgetting to properly uninstall Galaxy's system services.

Do the log files contain something that might point towards a problem that could be related to the issues with the system services?
Does the system event log contain some information about why the system service did shut down?
