valiant243: You're looking for your DK2 saves that wasn't installed from GOG, right? So it can't be in GOG folder, check your original DK2 folder instead.
These discussions would not always end up being so confusing if more people would realize that GOG is the company and Galaxy is the client. There are so many people who keep saying "GOG" when what they mean is "Galaxy". It really does not help anyone understand the issues involved.

Firecoso: It worked just fine :D! Anyway, do you happen to know if gog galaxy has any sort of cloud system for gamesaves?
Not at the moment, cloud saves is still a work in progress.

JudasIscariot: Whether you can add a game or not depends on the installer the game was installed from. I mean if you have an installer for a game such as "setup_dungeon_keeper_1.0.0.9.exe" for example, then that is not going to install a version of the game that you can import into Galaxy :)

ignisferroque: Hm so the standalone installers wont work in general? Only if i copied a galaxy install elsewhere for example? The last i tried was that Riddick game, had it installed from the normal setup files, downloaded with the old download manager, that didnt work...
The 1x.x.x installers might not but ones with 2.x.x.x in the file names should :)

I mean exactly what I said. If you've read through everything, it should be apparent I was under the impression that his original DK2 was installed from a non-GOG source.

JMich: If the installer is v1.x.x.x then it's a bit harder to import. If the installer is v2.x.x.x then it should contain the necessary Galaxy files to be imported automatically.

Sorry, no. That was not apparent. It also doesn't invalidate what I said. It just means that it doesn't apply to you in this instance ;-)

It's still a problem though. I really do see people do this in almost every discussion involving Galaxy. I think it is partially because Steam and Valve have become synonymous in most people's minds by now, but lumped together under the name "Steam". I think some people do the same with GOG and Galaxy, they just happen to lump those two together under the name of the company rather than the name of the client.
