So I've recently installed Gog galaxy beta to install a new game I bought, but I wasn't able to link to it another gog game I already had installed drm free (dungeon keeper II). Is it possible to do so (for the automatic updates) or I should make a fresh install? I'd rather not lose my game saves

Dont know where it saves its savegames but you should be able to just copy them over, so id just go for a quick reinstall, its a small game....

adding previously installed game often didnt work for me as well, dunno why.

Have you tried the scan folder option in Galaxy? If that doesn't work, you can always make a copy of your saves before doing a fresh game install.
Do you think the "config" file inside Roaming->Gog->Dungeon KeeperII could be my savegames?

No. If you'e using Windows, go look at C:\Users\<your user profile name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files and see if there's a Dungeon Keeper folder there.
Yeah it's the one I said, C->users->username->appdata->roaming->gog->dk2 : there's only one file, "config"

C:\Users\<your user profile name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files is a different folder...

Whether you can add a game or not depends on the installer the game was installed from. I mean if you have an installer for a game such as "setup_dungeon_keeper_1.0.0.9.exe" for example, then that is not going to install a version of the game that you can import into Galaxy :)

oh right sorry, btw no dk2 folder there

but I found a Gog games folder in C:, and there's dk2->data->save with a SAV file named "afaf" and an empty text file named "save". what about that?

You're looking for your DK2 saves that wasn't installed from GOG, right? So it can't be in GOG folder, check your original DK2 folder instead.
It is from a gog installer, just not from the galaxy client. In fact, there's no folder for the new game I installed with galaxy client in that "gog games" one

Hm so the standalone installers wont work in general? Only if i copied a galaxy install elsewhere for example? The last i tried was that Riddick game, had it installed from the normal setup files, downloaded with the old download manager, that didnt work...

If it's from a GOG installer then yes, it will be located in C:\GOG Games. That folder should also work with Galaxy's scan and import function.

If the installer is v1.x.x.x then it's a bit harder to import. If the installer is v2.x.x.x then it should contain the necessary Galaxy files to be imported automatically.
Did not work, probably for the reason judaslscariot said. I guess I'll just go and save that save folder and fresh install, wish me luck lol

edit:

It worked just fine :D! Anyway, do you happen to know if gog galaxy has any sort of cloud system for gamesaves?
