Bring all your games and friends in one place with GOG GALAXY 2.0. The closed beta just launched and you can still join by signing up now.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 is an application designed for all gamers, that will allow to combine multiple game libraries into one and connect with friends across all gaming platforms, PC and consoles. Announced last month, the application launches in the closed beta today.

Those who receive an invitation, will get the opportunity to check and test the apps’ core features – connecting multiple platforms, installing and launching PC games, organizing the library and seeing friends’ gaming activity.
Here’s what gamers can expect from GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta stage:

Your Games.
Import all your games from PC and consoles, build and organize them into one master collection. Install and launch any PC game you own, no matter the platform.
Keep track of all your achievements, hours played and games owned.
Customize your library by filtering, sorting, tagging, and adding your own visuals like game backgrounds or covers.

Your Friends.
See your friends’ cross-platform achievements, game time milestones and recently played games.
Compete on leaderboards and see who’s the master collector, completionist or spends the most time playing.

Your Privacy.
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
We’re not spying on data from your computer.
With a single click, you can remove imported games and friends data from our servers.

More
Connect more platforms and add new features with open-source integrations.
All customizations and changes to your library are saved in the cloud and synced between all your devices.
Save any view like a customized library or favorite games and friends to access them instantly.

Your GOG Client.
The best way to run and update your GOG games.
Use features like cloud saving, in-game overlay, multiplayer & matchmaking, rollbacks and more.
The client is not required to play your DRM-free GOG games.

The version of GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is still a work-in-progress application, it won’t include all of the features, and users may experience some bugs or issues. Additional features and functionalities may be added during the beta phase.
Everyone participating in the closed beta is encouraged to give their feedback in the GOG GALAXY 2.0 forums or via GOG’s social media channels.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is available for Windows and Mac, and requires a GOG account. You can still sign up at www.gogalaxy.com for the closed beta access.
Yea, at this point I do not think it was actually first come first serve.

Maybe people who have used GOG connect more often get in first caues GOG would then know for sure they have Steam, and would be able to test shit out with them. People like me with only GOG don't really provide much information as to how GOGalaxy 2 is going.

Eh. Two weeks in and I registered in the first hour or 2. There's no way it's "First come first served."
I wonder how many people actually have access to the beta?
Well., for me the whole reason to even to join GOG was to test out 2.0. I have never used this before and was hoping I get to make that decision sooner. I suppose can wait.. Lol, I found out about GOG from Cyberpunk media stuff.

Have been using steam, epic, uplay, Xbox. and then I found this.
Well, let's what games I can get here in the mean time.

That's the spirit :D
Still waiting...
Registered day 1, within 1 to 2 hours of the initial announcement.
No invitation. Either a TON of people registered early, or they've only invited a very small selection of people. I do not believe it is first come first served at this point.

I've 'subscribed' to the beta version - but only because I'm curious. I don't have the time to actively participate in a beta program.
Maybe if GOG was still the small company it was 10 years ago, when it had more direct individual communication with its users... Hey, not a big thing - I care mostly about DRM-free releases.
Inscribed to the beta testing to see what will be.

No answer obviously, but doesn't matter.
I really don't care about 101% of the features they promote.

Bring more games to GOG.
I find myself spending more and more on other stores.
The selection here is shame.

The "selection" here is about DRM-free games. What are you expecting?

Thanks. Now I know.

No need for sarcasm. Do you also complain about Steam's "selection" because they don't add any Playstation exclusives?

I own half the games on this site, and I'm a customer from 2009.
The other half is useless junk for me.

I own the same amount of games in original boxes, carefully stored in a dedicated ludoteca.

I think spending my money here is better than on other stores.
But I can't.

I don't even know why I waste time answering you.

Why is it a waste of time? I know my answers tend to be not coated in sugar, but I wouldn't reply if I weren't interested in your issue. What do you mean with " But I can't."?

Well, as he stated, he already owns half o the games here and is not interested in the other half.
Therefore he can't buy any more games here and hence he asked for more games to be added to GOG.

I would also wish for more newer games here. Maybe GOG gets more popular with Galaxy 2.0 so publishers are more interested in releasing their games here.
