Bring all your games and friends in one place with GOG GALAXY 2.0. The closed beta just launched and you can still join by signing up now.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 is an application designed for all gamers, that will allow to combine multiple game libraries into one and connect with friends across all gaming platforms, PC and consoles. Announced last month, the application launches in the closed beta today.

Those who receive an invitation, will get the opportunity to check and test the apps’ core features – connecting multiple platforms, installing and launching PC games, organizing the library and seeing friends’ gaming activity.
Here’s what gamers can expect from GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta stage:

Your Games.
Import all your games from PC and consoles, build and organize them into one master collection. Install and launch any PC game you own, no matter the platform.
Keep track of all your achievements, hours played and games owned.
Customize your library by filtering, sorting, tagging, and adding your own visuals like game backgrounds or covers.

Your Friends.
See your friends’ cross-platform achievements, game time milestones and recently played games.
Compete on leaderboards and see who’s the master collector, completionist or spends the most time playing.

Your Privacy.
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
We’re not spying on data from your computer.
With a single click, you can remove imported games and friends data from our servers.

More
Connect more platforms and add new features with open-source integrations.
All customizations and changes to your library are saved in the cloud and synced between all your devices.
Save any view like a customized library or favorite games and friends to access them instantly.

Your GOG Client.
The best way to run and update your GOG games.
Use features like cloud saving, in-game overlay, multiplayer & matchmaking, rollbacks and more.
The client is not required to play your DRM-free GOG games.

The version of GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is still a work-in-progress application, it won’t include all of the features, and users may experience some bugs or issues. Additional features and functionalities may be added during the beta phase.
Everyone participating in the closed beta is encouraged to give their feedback in the GOG GALAXY 2.0 forums or via GOG’s social media channels.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is available for Windows and Mac, and requires a GOG account. You can still sign up at www.gogalaxy.com for the closed beta access.
Linux, when?
I'm not sure to use it with Linux but...you know...
It would be nice to add a version for Linux users ^^

Btw,I rarely use the old Galaxy on Windows 10...I think I love to be able to just download my games without app.

I guess I wasn't picked?
@XYCat
I think they limit testers group to native english speaking players from some countries - less flaw communication, thus better problem reporting.

@Reglisse
I also wish this Galaxy released for Linux, but recent news about remove 32bit libs from standard repository of new Ubuntu, don't give me much hope ...

How long is the beta period estimated to last for before Galaxy 2.0 goes live for everyone?
I signed up for beta within an hour of the announcement. Can't I expect to be in the first batch of testers?

Nope... "Curation" extends past game choice it seems...
high rated
I just want Galaxy 2.0 because it brings the box art back.
Still kinda confused about the whole "console" thing. Will it only work for current generation platforms or could 360/PS3 games be "imported" as well? Why not games on consoles even older than that? Neither this ariticle nor the FAQ say how far back this feature is going.

Thanks for the invite GOG. Already reported one issue in the forum. Connected the Epic Game Store first as my tryout.

di0nizus: Linux, when?
A lack of Linux support and a lack of the ability to have it download the entire library in one go are sorely lacking.

It doesn't make sense to me why GOG doesn't offer what the community has been able to provide.
@xernos Yes...sad day for Linux...
I use Kubuntu now and I think I'll switch back to openSUSE soon ^^

My Windows 10 give me an headache at each big Update.

You will log into your live/ps account. That's it.
