I thought GOG had given up on the daily deals and forgot to check this thread. Now I already have missed several daily deals...

Aemenyn: If that's the case, it's pretty sad they managed to forget to include a daily occurring event when redesigning the frontpage :/
They did not only forget to add a place for the Daily Deals, they forgot to add a place to announce all their current deals.

What emails are you signed up for? I've checked my settings and it says I'm signed up for promos, etc., but I've not had anything sent to me for months! Nothing in Spam folder either.

For today's daily deal: "These emails are sent out periodically, we'll only notify you about discounts with 24+ hours remaining. Your personal wishlist may include more games on sale."

Also: "You've received this mail because you've added items listed above to your GOG.com game release subscriptions."

Basically i have checked everything under "Subscriptions" tab in the account. But it is weird you are not receiving anything from GOG.

You receive the emails because the games are on your wishlist. Since you have more 1800 games on your wishlist (basically, everything you do not own, I presume), you get emails for most daily deals. Someone who hasn't got a given game on their wishlist will not get an email.

Thanks for checking, it seems (thanks to mrkgnao) that it's to do with wishlists. I'll just carry on checking out this thread every day instead for the DDs :)

It does seem idiotic of GOG to not advertise the daily deal on the front page. One would think the appeal to them is that users come back everyday for the deal. Now I just link to the forums and check there instead and only see the front page now and again, and people who don't read the forums never know about the deal at all, so GOG lose all it's advantage, and the game devs lose their sales. If there isn't a technical issue and a backlog of work for the devs then I can only conclude they are indeed idiots.

I'm starting to miss the old front page. The new layout must be affecting the sales of discounted games.

Daily Deal isn't anywhere on the front page and the only mention of the weekend deal is in the news section, but that's been buried under current news. :(

Hopefully, GOG will fix this soon.
