Here's the list of games available: LIST
Welcome to the new Community Leave a Game Take a Game!
(That's LAGTAG for short!)
As promised, here's my vision of what the TOGO thread could have been. I hope this works out better.
Feel free to take a game and leave a game after reading and following these rules:
WHO CAN GIVE AND TAKE?
Established Community Members
This is only for well-established *community* members with a reputation of 100 or more. If you don't have that kind of rep then just keep being a part of the community. You'll get there. You must have 100 rep points even to give a game without taking one in return.
Not Known Scammers
Some people do unethical things in the giveaways and trades. People listed here need not leave or take games.
HOW TO TAKE A GAME
Ask
1)Ask for any game in the list by replying to corresponding post. Also, say what one game you will leave that will have at least 65% of the value of the game you took.
1 a) You may not use the sum of multiple games to reach the required value and trade it for one game.
1 b) Exception: You may leave a multiple-game collection in a single code. For example, you may leave a Steam code for the Age of Empires Legacy Bundle (including AoE2, expansion and AoE3) totaling $54.99 and trade that for a copy of Witcher 3 ($59.99). You would not be able to trade AoE2+ and AoE3 individually for it. (the purpose of this rule is to allow collections but continue to keep the value of the games in the list from reaching near-zero).
1c) The value of the bundle is calculated as:
1c-i) if a retail bundle is available for purchase, then the retail price as listed at the storefront.
1c-ii) if the bundle is not available for purchase (like a limited-time bundled-code humble bundle), then add the retail value of all of the games to calculate the retail value. NOTE: repeat games are still not permitted.
2) You may want to put an asterisk near the game title in the spreadsheet for a game you've asked for.
3) If 2 days pass and you haven't heard back, send a chat message to the giver so that it (hopefully) sends them an email.
4) If you don't hear back for 21 days, then we will assume that the game is a dud. Please report it. ("Did Not Receive X Game from Y User, Waited 21 Days.")
What to Do After Getting a Game
1) Remove the game from the list
2) Add your game to the list with all important information
3) Make a post saying "Received and Redeemed" or "Received, Code Did Not Work.
3a) If the code did not work, the gifter can give you a code that works for the same game.
3b) Or the gifter will no longer be allowed to participate. You should then put a post in the "Known Scammers" thread.
3c) Or the code may have expired or been bad in some way, but they have another game that you may be interested in. If you want to make that deal, you may, but you must report it in the thread (e.g. "Received, Code Did Not Work. Accepted Dead Space 2 instead of Dead Space 1.). Repeat false gifters will have to be excluded from the thread.
How Many Games Can I Take?
You may take 1 game per 24 hours.
Who Can I Get a Game From?
If the game has been listed for more than a week: Anyone.
If the game has been listed for a week or less: Anyone except someone you just gave a game to. This thread is not for 2 people trading back and forth, but for the community to post unwanted games that have value to others. So we let more people interact by taking just one game every day and not taking from those who just gave us a game.
WHAT GAMES CAN I LEAVE?
No Duplicates
You may not add a duplicate to the list. So if there's already a TIE Fighter there, you may not leave a TIE Fighter, you have to leave something else.
If you are adding a bundle of games, then none of the games in the bundle can be on the list.
Similar Value
You must leave a game with a retail value of at least 65% of the game you took. The spreadsheet can make that calculation for you.
- All amounts should be in USD.
- You can get your retail value from where the game redeems to. If you have a GamersGate version of King Arthur for $19.99 but it's $9.99 on Steam, then you can use it as a $19.99 game.
- You can use your regional price or the US price if it's higher.
Free Games and DLC Allowed
Games that were given for free or DLC are allowed, so long as they follow the above rules. Remember, no duplicates. So you can leave The Witcher, so long as nobody else has.
Time-Sensitve Codes Allowed If They Have 30 Days On Them
You can give a code so long as it has at least 30 days left to redeem it.
Game On List Do Not Expire
If you take a game, then your game needs to stay on the list permanently (excluding time-sensitive codes). Please do not wait 30 years for someone to take a game because it is junk. Leave something that someone will probably enjoy.
Free to Play Codes Are Not OK
Codes for in-game purchases for free-to-play games are not allowed. Also, codes for free-to-play games are not allowed (like I may have an old, usable Dungeons and Dragons Online code that will get you 30 days premium now -- that is not allowed).
Here's the list of games available: LIST
I hope you enjoy unloading your extra keys and picking up something you'll love!
