anomaly: 5 - Why aren't the most voted for games getting on there! WAH! UFO Aftermath got 122 votes (and still remains on the wishlist!) and got naff reviews too, when System Shock 2 is siting at 8650 votes and is beloved by all (except for me, I will admit, but I am special!)

bansama: It's all down to legal stuff. GOG can't just put games on sale without proper permission <snip>
I know that's probably not want you wanted to hear, but that's the way it unfortunately is.

Yeah, I know all that. My other points were more improtant to me, and the last was just a peeve moment. Main improvement points - better filtering / sorting functionality, moderation of the list to avoid double ups and removal of games once they are added to the catalogue. And show us how many pages of these games there actually are!
cheers
I also vote for Linux versions of games. Same games works with Dosbox in Linux and in Windows, so it sounds like that wouldn't be too difficult to do. I might be totally wrong about this..
My other suggestion is public virtual games shelf. Maybe a button to make it public, so I could give a link to friend and show him/her what games I own in GOG.
I'd like to chuck in my vote for Linux versions of the games too.
Also; the reason I would only ever buy download versions of games from GOG.com is because I have the opportunity to burn them on CD and still use them 10-15 years from now. However, nothing beats an original CD/DVD in an original box. How about supplying CD/DVD inlays to print out with each of the games? I'll see if I can knock together one as an example.
Edit: Here's a mock-up I produced, just to show what I mean: http://www.file-upload.net/download-2087261/Tex-Murphy-CD.pdf.html

I assume you have yet to notice the "Unofficial DVD Covers for GOG.com games" thread, so I'm going to point you that-a-way.
Yet another request for Demos, but specifically the GOG updated versions. Time-trial versions of the full game would be perfectly fine.

Those are pretty much impossible without source code and costly even with it.
There is a link to community compiled link list to GOG game demos in Welcome, please read! sticky topic in this forum you know.

*One Click Downloads* Has this been suggested yet? I always download everything offered with my purchases and sometimes (when I splurge) it can be difficult to take inventory to make sure I haven't missed a soundtrack or whatever. Is a one click download on the GOG.com roadmap?
I would agree with the earlier post Re: Gift Cards. Particularly given the season. Many stores do on-line, printable gifts cards, which would be fit in perfectly here and be a great gift to choice of our significant others to pick up for us ;-)
Agree with previous messages on multi-language support. I love this site but will not buy anything since my native language version (french) is available.
I'm pretty sure it's been said before that support for non-English languages will be considered once GOG leaves the beta stage. This makes sense given that it'll be easier to beta test the site while only supporting one language. This way, they can ensure the site functions correctly before adding in the added problems that additional languages will bring.

If you're looking for french versions of the games, check this thread (shameless self promotion). For the site... you'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Could you please add a feature that would allow sorting games in My Account, in alphabetical order, by year, by genre etc. This could be particularly useful for those who either already have or plan on buying lots of games here, like me.
Split game files and installer, please?
I just downloaded both Under a Killing Moon and Pandora Directive. Under a Killing Moon is one large .exe. Pandora Directive comes as a small setup.exe and two .bin files.
With UAKM Windows XP always tries to scan the whole setup file of 1.4GB anytime I use explorer to enter the folder it is in. That locks up my system for a good while. No such problem with Pandora Directive. XP still scans the .exe, I guess, but because it's just 2MB it doesn't cause any major delay.
I'd like to see small setup.exe's that access .bin files for the actual data, with all games GOG releases. Despite avoiding the above it'd also make it possible to update the installer without having to re-release (and force a complete re-download of) the game data.

The installer is split into several files if it's larger than 2 GB, because that's how Inno Setup handles the choice to make larger installers function on FAT32 drives (that file system can't handle files over 2GB). If the game or its installer is updated you'll still have to redownload the WHOLE installer, not just the exe file.
