GameRager: But it's not gog's job to save us some minutes solving captcha.....their job is to sell us games at a decent price.
In terms of obligation ("their job") the strongest I see is that they need to make money for their shareholders. Vs customers whatever this obligation is I dont see it trumping what the customers want. For me (if this thread doesnt make this clear) getting rid of captcha trumps making the games cheaper.

GameRager: Also at the price for some games the few minutes is often well worth it for what one gets in return.
This is the individual/egoistical perspective. I dont want to claim that its anything but a "minor issue" for most people individually.

GameRager: Because of it's topic/wording, or any comedy in discussion in general?
If you really want to know: From my POV it was "pretty lame".

I meant towards/for the customer...obviously that is their job for the shareholders.

Also i'd think you'd sadly be in the minority with regards to captchas vs game prices.

Fair enough, but the way you brought it up it made it sound like it was a more important issue for more people.

Tbf I was getting a bit bored and wanted to lighten things up a bit while also expressing how some likely feel about the issue via visual aid.

And yeah, I get that not every bit of comedy is for everyone.....maybe i'll score a "hit" next time I try such. :)
Ugh... Another one of these.

I'm not gonna enter 14 captchas just to see what the sales are...
Yeah, I'm hoping someone posts what the discounts are so I can see if there's anything interesting.
If GOG will send me such a silly thing ever again, I'll just unsubscribe from their newsletters/any other email services. Not worth the sale for me.

There are things that make me avoid using stuff, captcha is one of them. Simple as that.
This is what I see in the newsletter:

SWAT 4: Gold 55% off $4.50
Battletech Mercenary Collection 75% off $22.50
Ion Fury 30% off $17.50
We Happy Few 65% off $21.00
Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalptic RPG 25% off $22.50
Foundation 25% off $22.50

By the way, more often than not I'm not being asked to do the Recaptca task - I had assumed GOG disabled that (?) using Google Chrome.
The game's names are shown in the image. You don't have to solve any captchas to figure that out.
The only name I see in the picture is -PY FEW, which tells me barely more than diddly squat.

Thanks for that list. You probably don't see the captcha because you're using Chrome - Google already knows everything about you :-D
