We're also back home - completely exhausted.

At the start of the Steam sale, Blood Bowl Chaos Edition was 66% off.

A couple days ago, it was available for 80% off, so I purchased it.

Then a little later, it was one of those rotating 12 hour deals thing, where it was being sold at 85% off. No biggie about the extra 5%.

I guess the point is... I just got the game!

Tutorial is terrible. Did not learn much. Played two exhibition matches and am starting to get a feel for the basics. Watched Total Biscuit's BB Basics Tutorial, which actually taught me a lot more.

Hoping to participate in Season 8!

Awesome! Once you get the basics down against the CPU you should try creating a team in the open leagues and play against people its a whole different game.

Can anyone else spectate the geek chef vs mainosmies? I think my computer is allergic to all matches mainosmies plays - is it just me or his firewall or something?

you could also read the couple few posts, there are all sorts of league and BB in general -related stuff. Links to playbooks etc.

There are two main ways i know how to learn BB.

First is you spectate matches people play on BB, which there are many 24/7 and try to make some sense of what is going on.

Second is that you just play ALOT, hit your head to all the hard things and let the Siberia teach you - real experience is the best ;)

Just remember it's an "invitational" season so my must be a team that has played at least one online match before they can join.

Some basic tips are if it is an ag rolll the magic number is 7 (roll+ag+mods) for sucsess. and cnoor has some good training vids

Just finished the match with Necross. Waxers were victorious 3-0.

There was some awful Nuffle effects happening in the pit. Half way to the second half Waxers had over power in players.

Nuffle was toying with us both. Nobody seemed able to pick up the ball, and my troll decided it would be best for the team if they just stood around drooling. And that acid tempering treatment we picked up turned our armor into paper. The kick off at the start of the second half spelt defeat for me as the waxers were able to blitz into my half catch their own kick. I actually chose to shove his ball carrier into the end zone as i knew at that point was over.

My bomber is dead, fanatic broken back (considering firing) and my loony tried killing himself with his chainsaw. The only good news is i got max winnings

Watched a few cknoor vids thanks to your post. Really great stuff for helping to understand the fundamentals!

Also figured out how to watch the replay of your game vs Mainosmies, and learned about the ability to FF time. (Also somewhat useful against computer AI games)

The Good Old Ghouls lost their first match today, a 1-2 against the Amn Shadows. Very interesting match. I suffered 7 KOs in the first 2 or 3 turns, including my 220k star player, who subsequently failed every single recovery roll, meaning I didn't get to move him even once. Also, my mummy got CAS'd again, but thankfully regenerated. With 4 players on the pitch, the first touchdown was impossible to defend against. Nevertheless I had a good chance to score while still in the first half, but messed it up because I miscounted the turns I had left. I scored in the second half, but was unable to defend against cnquist's last drive.
