duder113: Game started ok with a good pass and an early score for my woodies, on turn 3 however those chaosthingies shoved 3 of mine into injury.
That's the wood-elven way of playing. You keep losing players, yet you are still able to pull off amazing stunts with the ones you have remaining ... occasionally, at least. ;) It's why I love playing them, there's always a chance of something spectacular happening. ;)
duder113: now we have to convene with the druids to find a way to remove that -1 ma off my tree.
Ouch. :( So it has a MA of 1 now? Well, it can still throw some punches on the line of scrimmage, but it'll be pretty much stationary now ...
Personally, I'm not too fond of trees in wood elf line-ups. I fired mine at the start of this season. I had played two seasons without a tree and only hired one for the last season since I was in a league full of bashy teams, but even there it didn't really help. Trees don't really fit into the way how I like to play the woodies - they are way too slow, and they eat up re-rolls, since you can't really afford letting them take root, and once floored they may take several turns to even get up. I'd rather use those re-rolls to make spectacular stuff happening with my other players. But it's a matter of preference. I think the question "should a woodie team have a tree" is one that Blood Bowl coaches never agreed on, it definitely depends on the intended playing style.
