satoru: Again you're free to ignore facts but again
1) steam isn't DRM, if it was there could not be, by definition, drm free games on steam
https://steam.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_DRM-free_games 2) Steamworks isnt DRM
https://twitter.com/icculus/status/471441666419990528?lang=en 3) you can incorporate literally every steamworks feature available and have your game be 100% DRM free as literally every game by Larian has every Steamworks feature including multiplayer but is 100% DRM free on Steam

Are you willing to refute facts or are you going to resort to ad hominem attacks.
1.a. Just because
SOME steam games are DRM free(or can be made as such(Like the classic doom/build games, via source ports/etc & also some newer indie/etc titles), that doesn't mean
ALL are.
Many steam games
REQUIRE steam to be running/the games to be installed/played through the client in order to function.
2.a.
AGAIN, if a game needs it to be running in order to function then
it IS DRM.
Just look at what the acronym stands for: DIGITAL(PC steam games qualify as such) RIGHTS MANAGEMENT(Steam is needed to run most steam titles & as such it manages your right to a certain "place"/set of circumstances(being logged into/running steam's client)
3.a. I'm not familiar with that title/how it runs on steam, but I AM familiar with many others.
Just because a game CAN run in steam in offline mode doesn't mean the game is DRM-free. Try running many steam games without steam running and a box will popup saying steam needs to be running or it'll load steam up so the games can run. In such cases, your only(illegal and morally questionable to many) option is to crack the steam-running-to-start-game functionality out of said game.
The
only reason it doesn't apply to older(build/classic doom/etc) games is because the files are
bare & easy to pluck out of the install folders to run elsewhere. If steam were more competent they'd likely package game files in container files that only steam could read/modify to prevent such out-of-steam-client gameplay.
(
Thankfully they don't do so)
