shmerl: Just a reminder. Did you back inXile's the Bard's Tale IV? If not - go and check their campaign:

I wish I did, it already looks great!
Sadly I lack the money these days…

Likewise. I'm already agonizing over whether I can afford to back Bloodstained, given that I'm also bleeding money on GOG's current sale.

There's no way I can also fit in Bard's Tale 4.

(Heck, with my finances, I can normally only justify backing an average of one game per year and I already backed Underworld Ascendant this year.)

That's why I'm not buying anything on the sale :) So many good games in development. I thought of backing Bloodstained too, but likewise it would be too much. I backed Underworld Ascendant and The Bard's Tale IV both (and I want to get the songbook add-on if they'll add one), and We Happy Few is still pending Linux release clarification, so I might back them later since I was planning to back them before Bloodstained.

I think we should make a thread about crowdfunding on GOG.

As for me, this is what I've picked up on sale so far

Shadow Warrior (2013)
Shadowgate
Freedom Planet
Broken Sword 5 - the Serpent's Curse
Shadowrun Returns
Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut
Unepic
Sam & Max Hit the Road.

These should keep be occupied for a bit....

I'm actually playing Shadow Warrior now (since last time I played it in Wine). The Linux release works great.

The guy from Knockout Games did a VERY good job on the port.

I would be, but my 3D acceleration has been out of commission since before it was released because I didn't notice the nVidia drivers wanted to update and it's not worth the trouble to tear down my desktop session so I can load the newer kernel module and then rebuild it.

(I really need to get around to hacking up something which will `hold` the nvidia driver packages until reboot, then apply any pending updates automatically.)

Probably for the best though. I've got some backlogged coursework to catch up on and I'm already burning enough time playing unaccelerated things like the copy of Toonstruck I picked up in the sale and the copy of Heretic I got on Amazon Marketplace for $5.

I’m refraining from buying anything on the Summer Sale too, so with some good money management I might be able to throw some coins towards The Bard’s Tale IV before the Kickstarter funding ends. This in-engine video shows that inXile knows a trick or two about building hype ;)

Seeing how the best Linux games I have played this last year come from crowdfunding, I totally second your suggestion.

Unepic is great but unfortunately there is no multiplayer in the Linux version here on GOG. I asked the developer if he had any plans to add it, but there is none at least for now. So for now the only way you can play multiplayer on Linux is with Wine or the Steam version. Contact the developer, maybe if many people ask him about it he can rethink that.

I don't care much about multiplayer in that sort of game anyway. Now Freedom Planet on the other hand.....

Is there a list of games in GOG's catalog that have a Linux port but have not been released here?
I picked up Don't Starve and I am having problems with the Updater, the fonts are all broken in the gui making it unusable. Running it from the terminal gives me an error message (see attach).

Yeah, I always had it. I just ignore this updater and run the game directly. Klei are really lazy with fixing their bugs. I suspect they don't even care to fix them.

Try reporting it to GOG. May be they can pressure Klei to do their work right.
