I think that the code doesn't work in an already discounted product. I tried it yesterday with Space wolves 3 and said that already discounted games were not part of the promo.

Their DRM is the whole point of their store, it's how they track down what you can exchange for instore credit. It is annoying, but it is the entire point of their store.

Good for getting free stuff, anyways, I've got like 5 games from them and haven't paid a single cent.

This isn't a huge price cut or anything, but the newly released Dungeons of Dredmor is on Steam for $4.49. It's only "down" from $4.99 though, so I don't know if it counts as a deal. But it's a good price for what promises to be really fun and have lots of gameplay. (It's a roguelike with graphics/some more accessible features).
