Kabuto: It's always on drm. I'll think about it. At this point I have steam, eadm, securom and gwfl installed on my pc. What's a little more at this point?
Man was that fast for a $50 game to drop to $5. It was released June 12th on PC.
jlg6184: Yeah, but if it is the same DRM is like AC2 or Conviction, I can understand people passing on this...Granted most everyone nowadays has DSL or Cable internet, but still, always having to be connected is kinda crappy DRM...
It is indeed the same drm as AC2, Conviction and Settlers. Certain parts of the game get loaded right from their servers, must mainatain a constant connection at all times and game saves are online only. Now that I think about it more, it makes all the other drm schemes I mentioned look very pedestrian. Those other drm schemes are unobtrusive and don't impact my system performance at all. I have a perma connection but it acts up every now and then and wasting bandwidth to play a single player game and not own any game saves sucks hardcore. With all this, they still charge a fee for a two year download "protection." That's extra funny coming from a company who's games are uber dependant on an internet connection.
