I think he's saying that if GG allows him to purchase using dollars and not euros, he would buy products from there.

Aaaah, okay that makes sense. :)

Rohan15: It's Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 with 'better' graphics, gameplay, and levels. Hard as hell, and insanely epic.
avatar
akwater: Sweet sounds like another game to pick up and shelf till i find more time :) thanks for the info :)
Edit thanks to all not just Rohan :P

Get some practice as well from SHWW2 as well. Epic game with smaller troop amounts.
Favorite mission in Faces of War has to be with the Russians sneaking into and then taking over the weapons depot.

Dragobr: GamersGate's Week 3 is coming in now.
Lots of strategy games.
*BTW, I did think about Faces of War all over again... And bought it this time.

Nice list this week, the two previous weeks weren't that tempting for me because I already had many of those games.
And yes, you shouldn't pass Faces of War for such low price, $1.49 (R$2,62). Too bad that GG doesn't discount Silent Heroes by 70%, too... It's always $4.99 when on sale, those greedy bastards. :p
I recommend these:
-Heroes of Annihilated Empires (from the makers of the STALKER series, it is their attempt at RTS games. It got just average reviews, sadly, but for $3.39?! C'mon).
-Men of War
-Stronghold Collection (holy cow, already at 75% off? Steam might discount this soon then, because Stronghold 3 is coming).
-Total Annihilation (although it doesn't have the addons in this GG edition, IIRC).
-UFO Extraterrestrials Gold ($6.44? lowest price we've ever seen?)
And the Paradox titles, at 75% off.

It's a series of RTS games, here's how it goes:
Soldiers: Heroes of WWII -> Silent Heroes: Elite Troops of WWII -> Faces of War -> Men of War -> Men of War: Red Tide -> Men of War: Assault Squad -> Men of War: Vietnam.
I've made a topic requesting these games on GOG, <div class="quot quot_text normal_color "> <div class="small_avatar_2_h"><img src="/upload/avatars/2010/02/25200d333d054e86306010bd1accb32b909402e4_t2.jpg" width="16" height="16" alt="avatar" /></div><span class="quot_text"><span class="quot_user_name">chautemoc: </span></span>[url=http://twitter.com/cliffski/status/21346810459]http://twitter.com/cliffski/status/21346810459 "Don't tell anyone, but if you buy democracy 2 in the next 36 hours, you can get 75% off using this code: BPET000N7" (Hour and a half left)

Nice tip, it goes from $19.95 to $4.99.
Picked up Heroes of Annihilated Empires, the Stronghold Collection and Spellforce 2 Gold.
I'm guessing the 4th week will be Simulations...what else would it be?! With Sims, they can put in stuff like Tropico 3, stuff like The Sims, and stuff like Rise of Flight.

Yeah, maybe SIms week; with a heavy load of Woodcutter Simulator and the likes. :p
About my post above on Heroes of Annihilated Empires, I forgot that GSC did made the Cossacks series before making Heroes.
If GOG ever gets the Cossacks series... *hint hint*
They actually once sold Faces Of War for U$ 1,23. Decided to pass on it because I'd probably never play it. Well, maybe I never will, but it just seemed slightly more attractive this time for reasons I can't fully understand =P
The deals I find really interesting are City Life 2008 and the Stronghold collection. I'll probably pass on City Life because I usually tire of business simulations too soon. I have X2: The Threat and X3: Reunion on steam. I started X2 but quickly decided to play something else. I'll just have to wait until I'm in the right mood for them.
Besides, I like to have a campaign - so that I can stop playing after it's finished, and not at some random point where I just loose interest.
I'll probably buy the Stronghold pack, tough. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I've been waiting for a sale since I first saw it on steam. And it's a 75% hit!
Heroes of Annihilated Empires looks interesting, however it's the first part of a trilogy that will probably never be finished. Anachronox and Advent Rising were enough for me, unless the story is at least as finished as, let's say, Mass Effect 1. Can anyone tell me that?
As for UFO, I've still got to play the X-Com pack I got from steam.
So many games, so little time...

For what it's worth, Woodcutter Simulator, etc., actually sell very well -- which is why GamersGate have been expanding that range of titles.

Ha, so you're attracted about paying more for it. :p
Yeah Heroes is meant to be a trilogy, but whatever, IMO it won't matter that much for an RTS.
The Stronghold Collection is a good purchase if you like the medieval setting, yes. It contains 5 games.

I know, I know... Was just joking about them. :)
GG seems to be the only store to sell this "Simulator series", so it's a good bet that they'll include them in the week 4. Plus, that Pro Cycling Manager series.
Dogfighter is 50% off on Steam. Anyone tried it?

gyokzoli: Dogfighter is 50% off on Steam. Anyone tried it?

It has a demo. Maybe I will get it and maybe we can make 4 pack? 4 pack is $25.48 here and it is $6.37 for one.
Bought Spellforce Universe. 5 games in the pack (well, 2 and their expansions). Each game and expansion is supposed to have a lengthy campaign, so I figured it was good value.
Edit: I also have around 2.19 in Blue Coins. Was thinking Vivisector or Planet Alcatraz, any suggestions? I don't want to spend anymore money... but I might buy the cheapest coin package to grab something.
Btw, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I saw that Deus Ex: Game of the Year edition has been removed from Gamersgate. Not sure why. It was on sale the other week, so I grabbed it then. So I just find it odd, especially considering Invisible War is still available.

Even the Youtube they're using to advertise the game makes it look incredibly bad. If you can stretch your budget by a couple of pennies then Men of War is a must have at that price.
