Getcomposted: Another Fate game?! Oh noes, more money flying out of my wallet!
There is at least one more still to come (Cursed Crown? I think...) but there could be more. It have been many years since I used to hang out on the FATE forum over on Wild Tangent. Be warned that one of those is not a sequel, but a content pack. I seem to remember a bit of a fluff over it as it was suggested that Wild Tangent included community developed content in there that was free from the forums as well as their own stuff.

The original game was developed by the dudes who went on to make Torchlight (Runic Games). FATE was left with Wild Tangent, but apparently the sauce was not. Obviously this made expanding the game far more interesting. I think for most of it they did a great job. Its been many years since I was on the official forums, but pretty sure at the time the admins said it was the most popular game they had. Easy to see why. Its pretty much the perfect "Casual Diablo".

PincushionMan: snip

Or you play it on an emulator with one of those NES to PC converters.

snip
it does SNES and Genesis, though no NES.

this thing seems pretty awesome!

particularly this function:
"you want to back up your game progress, e.g. before replacing the cartridge battery"

ive done a few searches and cant really turn up anything that does a similar function but cheaper.
the main site gave up vending them. the US distro is overcharging. it seems i could get it cheaper from europe with shipping and still be $20 usd cheaper.

anyone one here had one of these and given it a go?
or know of any other products that will rip my save data off SNES cartridges?
(hope a few of my 'greatest hits' saves haven't died yet)

but your save games would still be cart based and surviving on battery power.

the save game salvaging and porting to the immortal PC master race is the portion of the kit that draws me.

still have my original system.

oh noes!
the greyvolution has infected even the Sigil Speakchimp?!

Had not seen this mentioned yet:

Green Man Gaming: 2K Ultimate Pack 75% OFF

Borderlands 2
Sid Meier’s Civilization® V
NBA 2K14
XCOM: Enemy Within
Duke Nukem Forever
Mafia II
Spec Ops: The Line
Stronghold Collection
Ace Patrol Bundle

Get it over at GMG for only $54.22
Edit:One website said $52.97 but GMG's price is above.

Unaffordable for me, I do wish there was a way to split up purchases with others, IE people could go in together for these huge bundles and then pick out the games they'd want.

lazylazyjoe: I just bought Steam codes for The Book of Unwritten Tales & Critter Chronicles, both with extras on Greenmangaming for $3.20 (3.99 - .70 w/ code on front page). And they gave me $2.00 credit to use on my next purchase.
I'm guessing you refer to the referrals program? if you are a new costumer it's worth doing it through a referral.
I have an old account I never actually used so now I'm wondering If I should lose my username and make a new one... any thoughts?
