Gundato: NWN2 used Securom, but not Activation-Model Securom. In other words, it used the same damned Securom that people were okay with until Spore/MEPC made them think that all their games retroactively had activation limits :p
To my knowledge, the only official thing NWN2 related that needed an activation was the premium module from the guys who did Darkness over Daggerford (yay, Alazander :p). And that isn't included, from what I can tell.
Gundato, I respectfully disagree. I had a version of NWN2 that had a two activation limit. It crapped out after I installed it in Windows, Wine, then on the Crossover Wine install ('cause it didn't work in Wine), it crapped out. Atari acted horrified that I'd hit the limit so quickly, less than a week after the release, and refused to give me even one more install. Granted, it was build 791 or something like that, and I expected bugs. I did not expect an activation limit. Still a bit angry I have a box & useless discs on my shelf. It's a reminder never to do that again.
