Bummed Steam doesn't count Project Snowblind (is that what it's called?) as part of the Deus Ex games. I wanted to try it out.

So, how is Deus Ex on newer hardware and OS, compatibility-wise?

I see the PS2 and Xbox versions of that game in used bins frequently, often under $5. I have the PS2 version. It's a pretty decent FPS, for a console.

It runs, that's for sure. It's an Unreal 1 engine game so yeah. I have it running on Windows XP and Windows 7.

Anyone using d2d in Asia? I just got supreme commander gold, but the downloader keeps on saying that there are no mirrors. I'm hoping thats because a lot of people are downloading it, but i'm not sure.

Project snowblind was fund to play, but nothing super special. It was interesting to see the connections to Deus Ex, even though they were no longer official. After all this time it's probably not worth searching out, as everything it did has been done by numerous later games... but if you see it free or very cheap then you could do worse.
It's deus ex re-imagined as halo. But not quite as good as either.
I might get Deus Ex again just to try that mod everyone was talking about a few months back.

Steam started to sell the AquaNox games.

And people are already reporting problems with the Steam versions. Besides that, buying both from GOG is cheaper too. The first one maybe $4.99 on Steam, but the second is $9.99. Probably worse for pound/euro pricing.

There were connections? It was an extremely linear shooter with out moral or upgrade choices. Even Invisible War was tons closer to Deus Ex.
Snowblind was still kinda fun though. Too bad it hated my system for some reason so all the colors were extremely washed out.
