RogueXanter: Yeah its a pity that most of the Super robot Taisen games will never be officially released in the US but the GBA Original Generation games were fun.
Into the Breach looks good but I would prefer an FTL 2
I joked in my first post about wanting FTL 2 ;)
I think my favorite part about the SRT game I played was just the insane level of options. Sometimes games can feel like there's *too much* going on but this one worked it just right. I loved being able to tweak everything; from which pilots went in which mechs, how I wanted to upgrade mechs (it was expensive and forced real choices and specialization), what weapons to use etc etc etc. And then using them effectively in combat was important too. I don't remember exactly how it worked, but there was a "support fire" mechanic that the player simply had to use to keep the baddies in check.
I liked this game far more than the short time I spent with one of the Fire Emblem games.
I never put much time into that Nintendo handheld (I think it was an early DS? With a cart slot - a shame I guess because it had some very good games) but this one saw a lot of it.
