Wow, haven't been inside here before. But I guess that isn't surprising, what with either the workshop or the training grounds taking up all my time. Not sure I like it really, it's strange to see computers, always thought anything electronic was bad.
I wonder if we'll see the leaders up close. You'd think they could spare the time to say hello to the common revolutionist once in a while. Ah well, there's probably a lot on their plate.
A wooden table is in the middle of the room, surrounded by a motley collection of chairs. The far end of the table creaks under the weight of a large TV. It's one of the old, LCD types. A heavy silence falls as the last member pulls up a chair.
But then it is broken as the monitor comes to life. A shadowy figure flickers on the screen, and a voice fills the room. An odd voice, tampered to be unrecognizable.
"Greetings fellow fighters. I represent the council behind this organization of freedom. You have each been selected due to your extraordinary performance both in training and in the field. I would love to meet and talk with you in person, and would have, until the situation changed dramatically. Less than 2 days ago we were alerted by one of our information sources, I shall not name them, to the presence of spies in our midst. Some of our fellow brothers have betrayed us to the enemy. So I implore you, stay vigilante! Anyone of you could be a traitor.
Nevertheless, the revolution must continue. We have been alerted to a project initiated by the Machines which seems to involve some sort of bio-weaponry. As you can imagine, this is worrying as we do not have the facilities to adequately protect our forces against such a threat. We need as much information on this project as possible. Please decide among yourselves the appropriate candidates for this mission. We are counting on you."
The monitor blurs and then goes black. Silence once again fills the room...
General Rules
1. No Cryptoclaiming. Can't really happen in this game because the PMs are open information, but this must be a rule!
2. No betting among players. Does this mean observers can bet? I guess so.
3. The moderator of this game is me, Leonard03. The co-moderator of this game is Bookwyrm627. Should you need to contact either of us privately, use the chat system of this forum.
4. Should you wish to contact us publicly, you may bold your requests within the game thread.
5. Don’t edit your posts. This is VERY important. Editing a post is grounds for bad things to happen, up to the possiblity of being modkilled and replaced. In addition, don’t make two consecutive posts within 10 minutes of each other or the forum software will merge them, creating the appearance of an edited post.
6. Do not discuss the game with anyone outside of this game thread. This would be both cheating, and bad sportsmanship.
7. All players should post at least once every 24 hours. If you expect to be unable to post for longer than this, please notify one of the moderators. If you seem to have disappeared, you will be prodded both by PM and in the thread. Modkill or replacement is possible if the situation warrants.
8. If you cannot continue to play, notify Bookwyrm or myself and we will attempt to find a replacement.
9. The deadline for the captain picking a team is 3 days. If you miss the deadline the mission is automatically rejected and the captain position is passed on.
10. The deadline for voting on the mission is 2 days (+12 hours if it passes over the weekend). If you miss the vote it will default to "yes".
11. The deadline for submitting actions is 2 days. If you miss the action it will default to "pass".
12. Have fun! Remember it’s a game, you won't actually be turned into nutrients if you lose.
13. Full rules are in the opening post of the sign up thread.
