Crisis Events:
-A lot of this will be supposition on my part, as I haven't been on an event, and I don't have direct access to information about them (that isn't publicly available).
-One of the biggest reasons that I've gone on about the crises? I think RW doesn't have this game NEARLY so figured out as he seems to think. Take that crisis failure, for example: if everything was so peachy as he indicated, it shouldn't have been a failure. We should have had high stat individuals assigned to each role, and no scum should have been included.
-I think each team member tests their skill separately, and the values needed to succeed at an event will vary somewhat. I'm guessing they'll range 6 and up, and I'd guess that for simplicity sake each stat has the same difficulty level for all players on that stat's team. This latest event would have 5 potential points of failure (one per player). Perhaps Quad does something like in Risk, where there might be different minimum needed values, and he automatically assigns the highest stat to the highest need, and so forth; this way not everyone would have to have an 8 or 9 for town to succeed.
-I think the values required or the number of people required will not go up over time. Town will already be losing crisis candidates to Lynch/NK attrition, no need to make it even worse.
-I think it isn't nearly the doomsday issue that Trent and Adalia, and to an extent Carrion, are painting it as. We're probably still going to be looking at a game that runs for about 5 Days, give or take.
-In order to dodge every crisis event, I'd guess that a lynch has to be reached within 72 hours or so of day break. You guys really plan to speed lynch for the rest of the game? As far as I'm concerned, giving up a source of information in favor of speed lynching gives scum a big boost. It also completely negates drealmer's claimed power (scum bonus!).
-I'm guessing a townie death will take at least 2, and probably 3 or 4 individual failures.
-I think each player either has a high, a medium, and a low stat, or else a mid range combo with nothing especially high or low.
-The game Resistance is primarily made up of these crisis events, except everyone would vote on whether the team chosen by the leader actually goes on the mission or not. Leadership passes around after each vote (regardless of whether vote sends the team or not).
-Did you notice that Trent didn't go on either of the away teams, yet he was the one that was apparently role blocked by the failure(s) in the second one? Looks like penalties aren't restricted to away team members.
-According to Adalia, Dedo had an ability where he (Dedo) could prevent failures caused by sabotage if Dedo was on the away team. Perhaps a scum was on the first away team after all? Before Adalia's claim here, I'd been wondering if Dedo was a Droid-Only doctor.
-According to JMich, JMich is both a roleblocker and has a bodyguard type ability if JMich is on the away team and failures would cause a townie to die. Different from, but similar to, Dedo's ability to prevent sabotage. As a side note, JMich's roleblocking ability also has some correspondence with Hijack's jailer ability; are there other such crosses somewhere?
-I seem to recall that JMich and Dedo both had that mid-stat range. Perhaps the ability is to off-set the relative difficulty in them actually completing a mission.
-I find CarrionCrow's thoughts about the possible penalties interesting. They might be accurate (if so, how did he know?). Maybe we'll suffer from temporary stat decreases, I doubt we'll suffer from permanent ones.
-We suffered a singe(?) role block for the Day 2 crisis failure. Someone should take a look at the claimed stats, and take a guess at who might have caused the failure (I think JMich might be the source here, because of a low stat). If only we had all of the stat values, so we could take a better guess at this.
-Someone should look over the penalties for the edits. Mine hit my lowest stat; is this true for the others? As I recall, Carrion got hit in all 3 stats; I suspect this was because his edit was intentional, but it is worth double checking.
-I think there was only one failure on the Day 2 crisis. Otherwise we'd have seen more penalties, or a harsher penalty.

I'm going offline for a bit. Gotta drive home myself, you know.
Is this what we're getting? So far it's a collection of the obvious and the unverifiable. I remain optimistic some legit analysis is coming to point us in the right direction.

Ah, as opposed to CSPVG in Vitek's game.
I will neither confirm, nor deny your guess. I will, however, say that I do have a certain amount of experience with high explosives. Make of that what you will.
I suggest to all townies that you not hammer me.

hehehe, whoops. Good point.
Stats and Crises Analysis, as promised.
Day 1: Teslascarab Assault:
STR x2 (JMich, RWarehall)
FIN x2 (mchack, dedoporno)
Day 2: Hologram Guards:
FIN x2: mchack, JMich
INT x3: RWarehall, agentcarr16, drealmer7
We have some claimed stats and some flipped stats, as follows:
Flipped Stats:
dedoporno: STR 5, FIN 7, INT 3
Ixamyakxim: STR 3, FIN 4, INT 8
Krypsyn: STR 8, FIN 6, INT 2
Claimed Stats:
agentcarr16: STR 1, FIN 6, INT 9
JMich: STR 6, FIN 6, INT 3
mchack: STR x, FIN y, INT z (y > x,y, y > 6, no information on xRy)
drealmer7: STR x, FIN y, INT 8 (no information on xRy)
RWarehall: STR x, FIN, y, INT z (z > y > x, z >= 7)
Assuming truth for all claimed stats and stats ranging from 1 to 10...
Teslascarab Assault: Success
14 < FIN < 16
7 < STR < 13
Hologram Guards: Failure
13 < FIN < 15
24 < INT < 26
Let's assume that we had a failure on only one side of the Day 2 crisis. Then either FIN didn't hit the total or INT didn't hit the total. Unfortunately, we still don't really know how the crisis events actually occur.
If FIN failed, Q.U.A.D. is using some kind of randomization, FIN was the target of sabotage, or the target of the second event was higher than that of the first event. I see no other possibilities. Please tell me if you see others.
Case 1: The crisis events should be avoided as much as possible.
Case 2: At least one of JMich and mchack is scum.
Case 3: To be specific, the target Day 2 >= 16 or targe > ~8 for each participant. If this is typical, the crises are going to get very hard very quickly, meaning we should avoid them as much as possible.
If INT failed, then there are several possibilies. Maybe Q.U.A.D. is using a randomization element, and it failed. Maybe it was sabotage. Maybe the target for INT was higher than ~8 for each crew member. I see no other possibilies. Please tell me if you see others.
Case 1: The crisis events should be avoided as much as possible.
Case 2: At least one of RWarehall, drealmer7, and agentcarr16 are scum. Possible more than one.
Case 3: The crisis events are going to get lopsidedly difficult very quickly. They should be avoided.
Conclusion:
If the event was sabotaged, we have a small pool of possible scum. If the event was not sabotaged, then we need to avoid crises as much as possible.
I'm not inclined to believe that QuadrAlien would deliberately put a broken, anti-town mechanic into the game just for kicks. So I'm more likely to believe that we have sabotage in the crises.
I have confirmation on exactly one alignment and that is mine.
I believe that it's nigh impossible for RWarehall to be anything other than Town. It seems to me that any other possibility would be broken.
I believe drealmer7's claim and I think he's been playing as Town. In that case, I believe his investigation of mchack begin clean, which leads me to conclude that only JMich could be scum.
In that case, going off certain basic assumptions about balancing and game mechanics, I am going to
Vote Jmich
I know, perhaps this isn't exactly the most mafia-like way to go about scum-hunting, but I think that the crisis events are there for a reason, so I'm going to use the provided information as much as I can.

Alrighty; I'll slap it into a second post while I wait for Yog to confirm he wants me to go ahead and hammer.
Also, for a suggestion on what might have happened during the crisis event, check my crisis notes. Of importance is the way drealmer investigates: he chooses a player and is told whether that player succeeded or failed. This implies that we might not be working with some grand total for the team, but several points of failed contact. This also means that two or more individual failures inside one team could be the cause of a stronger penalty.

Ty Bler.
And now the fun part: Players and Roles!
-Turns out that a piece of my role that I hoped might be useful as a minor investigation, won't actually be useful as investigation. So I'm using public information to make guesses about the game. Consider what I had to say about aliens being meatbags.
-Yogsloth has struck me as pretty town thus far, including in Day 1. I've already mentioned my concern that he could easily fool me. He's one of the few that has indicated he actually sees the value that can be extracted from the crisis events.
-JMich also strikes me as town. Town Roleblocker is far from unheard of around here, and I've already mentioned why he might have a crisis recovery ability.
-Hijack is more questionable. I can understand his apparent reticence about shooting blind with his ability, and I've talked about why I think he should have shot blind. One other thing it does is provide some confirmability for him and possibly another player, similar to what we have for JMich. Right now we only have Hijack's word that he is a jailer; there is nothing linking him to another player.
-I'm leaning toward Agent being town, even if he apparently can't track a dead horse in an empty room. Does anyone have an idea of whether a blocked player would be tracked as "visiting someone" or whether they will appear to have gone nowhere? The answer to that question might indicate that we either have a Scum Agent or a Scum Hijack.
-Trent's ability is odd, but interesting; I could see it being in the game. I'm curious about what he hasn't said: what happens to the item he doesn't take from his warehouse? He didn't give away the stat booster , but he didn't say what happens to the other item(s) he could have picked. I've previously spoken about why I think this ability could be a scum role. I think Trent is being boneheaded about the crisis events, shunning possibilities that don't agree with his idea of how a townie should act. It's been a little difficult being on this end of him, since I think he might well be misguided town. Trent has claimed to be on the receiving end of what appears to be a Day Action.
-Drealmer is wordy. Massively wordy, and he makes me wonder if it is as hard to read my posts as I sometimes find his. When looking at his obsession with Vitek, I'm reminded of when I wanted to lynch Hijack after Hijack claimed commuter. I mostly think of him as town, but he does periodically set off my scumdar. I do believe that he's been honest about his role, regardless of faction; his role could be a minor boost to scum.
-mchack has been pretty quiet, and sitting on the sidelines. I wouldn't be surprised if he was scum.
-CarrionCrow: Lots of snark, not so much proactive analysis. Not a lot of analysis at all, really. He's one of my candidates for scum.
-Flub: There just isn't enough there, and I can't read what is there. I don't think he's scum, but I can't really tell either way.
-Vitek: Not much more to say than for Flub.
-As I've mentioned, RW has pinged my scumdar SO hard. I'm of half a mind to just try and lynch him to confirm he isn't using a massively ballsy scum bluff. When I reread his Day 1 posting, I wouldn't have figured him for the dispatcher. I acknowledge that he might have been covering for himself, but then he blew any of that cover straight to Hell during Day 2. I feel like he's trying to squirrel away everything about the crises for him and only him to deal with. I don't like it, I think it is anti-town, and I think his role cover is the perfect alibi if he is scum. One of the reasons I wanted to see a crisis event was the allow some other dispatcher to upstage him, in case he was faking. He's been fishing pretty hard while defending his right to keep all of his personal info uncover (remember when he agreed that L-3 wasn't enough for a claim, then promptly said he hoped I'd get pushed further and forced to claim?).
-I recall Ix seemed pretty set on taking the fall for either drealmer or mchack (don't remember which) during Day 1. That bears more investigating.
-I've had the thought that the town "Head of X" roles might be vanilla, but when I look at some of the other character names I doubt it. At least when I flip, I'm pretty sure you won't need the coroner to figure out what I could do.
-HSL didn't ring many bells for me, and Adalia's claim fits with the level of flip info we've seen so far. Was that claim cooked up amongst the scum? If so, then JMich is more likely to be on the scum team, since his secondary ability claim supports Adalia's coroner claim. If JMich or Adalia flip town, then the other is more likely town.
-I think scum locking down a Town Agent is an excellent maneuver, because it makes him look guilty and we might lynch him for his lack of results.
-I'm pretty sure scum gave RW a pass last night and went hunting for dangerous roles. I know I would have skipped him in favor of seeking after roles like cops or doctors that, especially if I knew RW's townie lists weren't accurate. Even if RW isn't scum, his focus on ferreting out roles will help scum sort the dangerous ones from the less dangerous ones.
-The second night kill description implies Strongman to me. Dedo was cut in half, yes, but Krypsyn was straight up dismembered.
-It does appear that the flavor of the various roleblocks are unique. Lets see what happens when Hijack actually uses his ability, shall we?
-Assume Trent gave Krypsyn a 1-shot roleblock: has anyone asked why would Krypsyn roleblock Flub? Did Trent give Krypsyn the card directly, or did he leave it somewhere for Krypsyn to find?
My guess is there are 3-4 scum among this group:
CarrionCrow
Trent
mchack
RWarehall
Hijack
Flub
And now the fun part: Players and Roles!

CarrionCrow
Trent
mchack
RWarehall
Hijack
Flub
