dedoporno: @RW, I don't believe I have made double posting missteps yet I (and probably others, too) feel like I'm being punished rather than mchack. Please, consider changing the correctional measure to something that make him be more wary of how he posts instead of everyone. I have to read enough such emails every day anyway :/
Okay, here comes a long text especially for dedoporno before the "edit elves" again fly away, or I get saddled with an even worse punishment.
In fact, I find it rather funny and if I really wanted to do an incredibly important point, I would rephrase the German sentence until after auto translation would come out something intelligible. This was previously not the case and I think my "Posts" nevertheless were well understood.
The problem is I think more likely to write the rambling kind that prevents that google reasonable English produced, with many unnecessary subordinate clauses and much too long writhing movements and interspersed clips (also I do that too often) and then suddenly terminating trains of thought. ..
If I would instead use short crisp sentences, that would translate probably not a problem. I will try in the future more to the point to come and build less set behemoths.

TL / DR - This text is not relevant! I just write bad : / in German and English.

Actually you might possibly taste bad, but you write badly.

Strawberry cream pie for what it's worth.

Come on, for errors made by Google, I really should not be scolded but now.
So, we're back. Another scum gone - good. Our cop gone too - bad, but to be expected.

But I find some things about trent strange: he claims to have visited adalia, but adalia's money wasn't stolen (what trent claimed to do before). However, Yog's money is missing and he definitely was visited tonight - by his killer. So trent might have been truthful about his twist and maybe even about his role, but not about his affiliation. Also, the main thing that derailed flub's train yesterday was trent's intervention. So I definitely think it possible, that flubb and trent are the remaining scum.

So, how to proceed? I still think we should just lynch everybody who isn't in the 'strong town' pile. There are enough basically confirmed townies to win the game. Oh, and I tasted vanilla cream pie in my dreams. But waking up, there was no pie either.

Trent said he would now also in the club of "Restricted Roles" ... not read?

It depends on who is in the "Strong Town pile". Suggestions? It really must be hidden in this no Scum, but if the circle is too small, a few nights they are all dead.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Given that a Cop investigates at night, I take that to mean that he was unable to use his role on N1. IIRC, you were among those that had him town on D1, and you say that you used your ability on D1. Is it reasonable to assume that you didn't use your power on him on D1? If yes, why didn't you?
Yes. Because I have, at the time, mid-first day, the risk of being lynched or killed the Yog considered too large. I did not want to waste the action.
avatar
adaliabooks: Because he was suggesting that even if I voted him it would only be because we were buddies and I was bussing him. So it was lose lose for me, don't vote him look scummy, do vote him look scummy.
So I didn't do what yogs wanted me to, perhaps not the best reason for doing something I know, but when whatever I did I was going to look bad I thought I might as well be petty...

See above.
You are aware we play as a team and the greater good is more important than the fate of a single person, especially given the fact that if you're Town you win with Town. I don't like your excuse at all.

Trent did say that he has to pass a check and on fail he steals and gets detected. Also, if he is telling the truth about being restricted mid-acting he never went through at all, so the check shouldn't have triggered. And last, but not least, you don't know books isn't lying about his money being stolen. I feel like this aspect is the least solid one we can pursue.

True, but my action wasn't going to be detrimental to our winning (I would never have let it go to no lynch if it came to that), and given the choice to do what yogs' said (or said I would) or not I would rather not.
I never said it was a good excuse.

Maybe, maybe not. We were 2 votes and few hours away from deadline. It's not that far-fetched to fail in such a situation. Taking it to the edge just to spite a single player isn't what I consider as a Town play. I would have been more inclined to cut you some slack if you had said that you didn't see Krypsyn as scum or some similar reason.

avatar
adaliabooks: Can't say yogs' death surprises me, he was a pretty obvious target...
If his death was that expected, why did you fear him pursuing you at all?
avatar
mchack: Trent said he would now also in the club of "Restricted Roles" ... not read?
Yes, I've read that. But this would also fit with him being scum and not wanting to have to reveal any 'investigation results'.

As for the 'strong town pile' - some of them should be obvious and they are obvious targets for scum already. You among them. But even if I suggested to band together, I would not suggest to agree on a ranking of townieness from top. That would become a hit-list. So instead let's start it from the bottom and lynch people who acted suspiciously and/or didn't 'get it'. (yes, I'm aware that I might be in that lynch pile at some position too - but that's OK as long as enough townies survive). Most likely the game will already end before we have to lynch someone from the 'got it early' pile.

For now I would suggest to start with flubbucket, since he still is the one who acted most suspiciously. If he flips scum (as I think he will), trent is next, because he gave cover for him and some of his statements don't add up. After that, the game might already be at an end. And if not, adalia would be my next suspect. So, basically like always: lynch the most suspicious. The only thing different from other games is, that this time the first day is actually the most important one and behaviour on the first day should be weighted the strongest.

And since lynch suggestions without a vote are worthless: vote fubbucket

To dedo: yes, adalia being scum would also be an explanation. But I still have the feeling that flub is scummier. I had trent as towny so far - but he is a good player who knows how to appear towny and contributing and if flubb turns out to be scum, that would throw a very bad light on trent.

BlueMooner: T.
I hope you are doing better and life is improving for you. You seem to have disappeared from the game though and this vote is just a prod to get your attention.

I will be revealed as town.

So does that mean you will pass on trentonlf and pursue a lynch of adaliabooks??
avatar
flubbucket: I will be revealed as town.

Probably. There are, as I said, some things that I find suspicious about trent since this day started. Covering you, whom I see as behaving anti-town, is one of them. If you flip town trent's report of his findings about you become more believable. He still isn't entirely off the hook then, of course, but adalia takes the lead in suspiciousness.
avatar
trentonlf: Because yogs broke the game from the start and I've been trying to investigate people who were not in the group that got what he did. I still think it was a poor play and scummy as hell, but I see why he did it. adalibooks was next on my list to investigate as he was in the group.
If only it were possible to investigate yourself in a reliable for the rest of us way, eh?
May I ask what your criteria is as to the order of your list?

trentonlf: I hope you are doing better and life is improving for you. You seem to have disappeared from the game though and this vote is just a prod to get your attention.

Vote BlueMooner
So, you're placing a prod-vote on BlueMooner who has a pretty serious reason for dsappearing. How about Sage103082's disappearance? Are you OK with that? She last posted when Krypsyn was still at 3 votes (post #982) expressing a mild doubt about him, she had also said she'd be fine voting for CSPVG (post #641), but then never returned to cast a vote. In fact, she hasn't cast a single vote after her RVS vote on BlueMooner, which is quite unlike her, and her contribution has been degrading with every passing day.

avatar
flubbucket: I meant nothing by it. :D

Did you now?

Any chance you'll answer my question (post #1085)?

dedoporno: [...]

Was about to ask the same thing. Don't like adaliabooks' defence of his actions.

trentonlf's claim about last night also raises an eyebrow.

Criteria is simply a gut feeling I have. I was torn between lift or adaliabooks and went with adalia last night.

As for Sage, I agree she has been absent most of the game and not playing up to her normal standards. I try not to let real life influence me in any way, but I do know she has been extremely busy at work and left today for a weekend trip. I will admit I am probably giving her more slack than I should, and if it were not for BlueMooner being absent I would have probably prod voted her.
I am away for the weekend I expressed this before the game started will have Internet access back Sunday. I do not want to post anything for the night before reading what's gone on but I did wake up with a taste in my mouth or on my mind. Trying to read chat from a crappy borrowed phone isn't working well. Will be on Sunday most likely mid day.
