All three, I think, are targeting Flocke next.

So between those three and trent, the most likely situation is that somebody is a deluded Townie and the other three are mafia.

But it would be a nice gesture of trent, if he were scum, to try and make his devote followers question his townliness, only to have them follow him even more. Either way, it worked with me. Still can't really think him scum.

joppo: Gotta admit, Lift got a chuckle out of me by describing Yog as the embodiment of Sloth. Then again, it's even part of his name. It just couldn't be anyone else.

Looking at my list from yesterday, not much has changed. I'm gonna settle on two players I am somewhat confident are townies: Flocke and bucktooth. Mchack has taken the opposite path, it's already been too many times he advocated for the lynch of a townie. I see him as the most likely to be scum by now.

Which leaves the rest of the scumteam as 2 out of these three: Pooka, Catventurer and Trent. The fact that Flocke's vote is standing for 9 hours now and there hasn't been a quickhammer is telling. Catventurer takes the lead for me.

Catventurer: Here's the problem Yog. I was leaning towards Trent being town to begin with.

The whole "but trent is super scary and badass when he's scum" is not good enough for me. That's just a boogyman vote and isn't a valid reason to remove someone from the game. It's not much different than when I told Micro on Day 1 that you being a death robot from the future wasn't a good enough reason to suspect you.

I am currently over 90% confident that trent is town. This is high enough confidence for me to cast an elect for him. As for why I am that confident, I think that I'm going to pause a bit here only because I've been putting my cards down on the table a lot so far. I am going to not throw absolutely every reason I have out there until at minimum one scum is investigated.

I am likewise confident now that you are scum. /disappointed

Oh, man I was on the verge of dancing around, thinking about how well I've scumhunted, with my trent election and how everyone will congratulate me at the end of the game, at how I almost single-handedly won the game and then ... I read yogs was town. The same yogs that was reading the game diametrically different to myself.
Oh man, someone wrote, that if I was this bad at playing mafia, I probably shouldn't anymore (don't wanna look it up right now, but think it was something along these lines) and now I think they were probably right.

1 is IMO the most interesting thing here this phase because not only did Flocke invite scum to quick hammer with her, but also scum... didn't actually quick hammer? In all these hours? I find that hard to believe.

Unless... one of Catventurer or Flocke is already scum.

On one hand, Catventurer's increased frustration as she puts more effort into the game but still ends up under scrutiny, and now what appears to be severe pressure to the point of wanting to self-vote herself out of the game might mean she's scum. I mean, I've seen Scum Catventurer before, and she really, really, really hates being scum.

But that would be too easy of a guess, wouldn't it be?

Yes, yes it would be. Because Catventurer has been a strong player from the start and has persisted throughout the game, doing above and beyond what everyone else has been doing in the game, scum included. If she was scum, she could have easily blended in the background and let a more experienced scum mate take both the lead and the fall for her. So I have a hard time believing this is Scum Catventurer, even if her frustration is worse than the last time I have seen an actual Scum Catventurer. If she is scum, she's still in a position where she neither needs to be this invested into the game nor as frustrated as she is - her two scumbuddies can and would have done the heavy lifting.

That means the real deal here is Flocke. From the get-go, as scene, he's taken something I said out of its context, twisting it to make it look like something else for his own nefarious purposes, or so it appeared at the time. If Scene had talked it out more with me, I'd have been more willing to believe it was Town-on-Town violence like some people were proposing at the time.

But as the game goes on with him being replaced with Flocke, she feels even more nefarious than the original scene! Quite an achievement if you ask me. I don't know, but the general vibe of her is just ever so off, couple that with her jumping from myself early on to Catventurer as of late during the previous phase. Of course, if Catventurer is Town, she would be the prime takedown target for scum as things have been shaky ground for Cat Savior, so it would've been easier to take her out there.

Of course the yogsloth wagon emerging out of nowhere was a gift to scum and I can't believe we just walked right into it again. It's interesting that at the time, it appeared as if I had the final say on whether we yeet the sloth or let the Reformer Accuser do the accusing. I just double checked to see the final vote results for the previous phase and... look at that.

Flocke. Was the only vote on Catventurer, while almost everyone else piled on yogsloth. Was she distancing from her fellow scum?

I've always been serious about my scumread of scene and now Flocke. Now, the question presents itself. Are you guys actually serious about taking down some scum? If we vote just one scum out of the Conclave, they have to deal with two more phases, but now in a weaker position than before, it'll be much easier to hunt the other two if we vote out just one today. But if we vote a Catholic out, we lose. Let's not botch this up.
