mchack: Then there's still bucktoothgamer, who although you and cat seem to think him a shiny townie catholic vampire with shades on at night, still feels a bit shady to me. He's put a vote on you and you reacted right the next post and explained your micro vote and both of you were fine with the situation, but the vote never changed. Alibi vote?
You bring up some good points here! I went back and checked. Mister bucktooths hasn't posted much, only things like posting#188 and #193, both which seeming very prankish. Maybe bucktooth is the prankster and is also scum trying to be pretend active to not get voted? I mean why have they not asked me to join them on the yogsloth wagon after my post#222? Maybe they didn't see it yet, but I am wondering. Ok then!

joppo: If we assume our messenger Fark is Town, the chance of a townie prankster is 71.5% and scum prankster is 28.5%.
I thinking scum have two power roles and townies have two, or do you think that wouldn't be balanced right?

avatar
joppo: If however the messenger is scum then they only have one player that can carry another PR. It's a mere 14.3% chance compared to Town's 85.7%
I don't get this bit, seeing that accuser is verified scum power role in opening post. Explain a bit better for dumb me please?

avatar
joppo: What Fark said about that not being cryptoclaiming is true. Had it been cryptoclaiming Lift would have him modkilled because it's against the rules.
Lift might have more likely be sending me a PM in such case to stop doing such things, since subs seem to being scarce. I did not receive such a PM and anyone is free to asking Lift for confirmations.

avatar
joppo: Ouch. A selfvote is like... a cardinal sin!
I'm almost voting you for that, except for the fact that I believe you're Town. You should know better if you're as experienced as I think you are.

Then again, post #233 appears to be legit frustration. Can't fault you there if I'm reading you right, but still... keep trying to help us draw out scum, mate.
Good pun! Yes I was frustrated and still am a small bit. Partly this is being due to IRL as well. Not asking for sympathies or trying to get some, just wanted that out there.

avatar
joppo: And hey, if you're Town and ends up investigated at least you will be a stump, you'll keep your voice and no one will suspect an agenda behind your posts afterwards, right?
I just want to be involved with a vote power as much as I can, even if I am not so good at this game. I would not be having that if a stumpy. Still, the silver linings you say is true!
Okay, I dozed off for one day and already the game is making even less sense to me than before.

But to begin with, I didn't really like how Farky breadcrumbed then followed it by actually using up his role. The way he did just screams "LOOK AT ME I'M SO CATHOLIC" but we know. We know that the Messenger role can belong to either faction.

We also should know that there's only two factions in the game, but trent mentioned earlier that Farky might be neutral, so... well this may be weird, but I don't feel like they're scum, it's more of a, how do I say it... Rustiness. They seem rusty as hell if they missed bits of the opening posts. Like Farky used up his role on the mistaken believe that it's a Catholic only role (this only gives him more Town rep though!?).

Interesting, but then I think we're closer to giving scum the opportunity to pick who goes, as the deadline is looming closer. Ugh.
"Time to check, where we are. Are we ready to elect someone?" Someone asks.
"Not by a mile!" Someone else replies "There was no movement on the election for a very long time. You know that!"
"So we still have to try to find those heretics instead."
"Seems so. Let's do that."

ELECTION
didn't change

INVESTIGATION
Bucktooth Prudence 1 - Fark 241
mchack East 1 - yogs 224
Yogs Up 1 - bucktooth 142
Fark South 2 - Trent 192, mchack 211

Not voting: pooka, scene, joppo, cat
No sign from scene yet. If they aren't back by the end of this week and I can't find a replacement, I'll have to modkill them.

Lifthrasil: Yes, the 10 min rule still applies to you. Please avoid double posting!

As a principle, you continue to be a normal player with all rules applying to you, apart from your right to vote or elect.
(and I am more lenient with the enforcement of your presence, but it would still be nice if you continue to follow the 'post at least every 2 days' rule)
OK, good to know. I just got off a lot of work after dealing with snow. Snow is wonderful stuff.

We are all rusty, but i kinda see where you are going? But trent is right, it might be a slip. If we were playing regularly it would 100% be a slip.

I... could actually see Yogs, Pooka, or Fark as scum. But Pooka had the opportunity (presumably) to hammer and didn't.
Either a) both scum are on Fark already, b) scum weren't online (this leads me to think scene may be scum) or c) fark is scum and can use his failed hammer as an excuse "no one voted me--Micro's condition A is true" (which leaves aside the fact that scum won't usually* hammer their own teammate)
D) fark is town and scum didn't want to draw attention to themselves by hammering.

*Trent and Yogs will, if they think it will help the team.

FarkyTheDog: Wasn't playing the cards for sympathy to get votes off of me, if that is what you were meaning. I am going through IRL crap and having another bullseye put on me and sucking at another one of these games because my playing style isn't optimal for these kinds of games isn't helping. I only joined because op needed another player. After this game i'm not going to bother playing another. I simply suck at it it is being plain to see. I'll stick to what i'm good at like pc games.
Hey, I've enjoyed playing with or against you and hope you enjoy the rest of the game more.
avatar
mchack: So bucktooth, is yogs still the most scummy player for you at the moment? What do you think about the whole Fark situation? Flailing townie? or scum going down?
BTW, Do you also think I'm just wasting everyones time?
To be completely honest I have been skimming the last couple days and I'll have to do a real look through on everyone, so I'm going to leave for now as I feel that's the responsible move.

The fark self vote situation is a no no for sure, but in my direct mafia experience I have seen self votes turn out to be town frustration way more than a scum making a hail Mary bluff. I don't think that alone can't make me have a desicion on fark, but I would have been confident enough to hammer just based on the self vote.

I don't think you're wasting everyone's time, and I know firsthand the feeling of not effectively contributing to the game. It's also hard to not take other players accusations of "not adding anything productive" as a personal attack, despite the fact that these are legitimate ways of sussing out scum.

Vote bucktooths
This is actually the first time I'm seeing that post funny enough, but at the same time I don't feel that my argument of "Hey yogs is playing a lot looser of a game than I recall them doing in the past" is a strong enough argument to start advertising for a yogs wagon.

I think we need to just move on from Farky. I think he's scum, but too many are treating him as more confirmed town than yourself. I think we're more likely to investigate you a second time (not that that could happen.)
All Cardinals have their own private cells in the Conclave. So, when they get tired, they can retire to sleep or contemplate in solitude. For Cardinal Justice that moment has come again. Just a short prayer and nap alone.

But the moment they step into their cell, a shower of cold, smelly soup douses them from above. Fish soup! A leftover from yesterday. The pot must have been balanced on top of the door. And as if the smell and the cold wetness weren't enough, the window of the cell is standing open too - sure, the windows are barred and far above ground. But cats are good at climbing. And the smell of the soup had already attracted three of them. As soon as the soup is accessible - in form of the wet Cardinal Justice - the cats squeeze through the bars and jump at the surprised Cardinal. Starting to nibble at their robes, purring loudly.

And according to the scratching sounds outside, more cats are on their way up the walls along the ancient ivy.

You making me think some things here. Would a town me likely bother with using my PR to confirm my alignment if I had read the opening post thoroughly enough? Probably not be doing so. Same thing would go for a scum me that had read the opening post. And a scum me would likely be having my partner(s) telling me things like what each PR was aligned to or to read the opening post properly. So of the four choices it's more likely being as I say, that I am townie PR who skims too much. Yes, this posting of mine is lamist and stating obvious things but maybe it will jogging some thinking in other townies and somehow end up helping us. I hope this will happen anyways.

I shall be trying to do such, my fellow tiny fishy player.

When you are having a moment, who would be your second biggest suspect after me and why?
@ Prankster - I think you're Team Catholics and if you're telling me what I think you're telling me.....

[i]Cardinal Justice is distracted by all the cats.
So now all of a sudden we have a wagon going, we have a chance to gather some info on another wagon, and poof it all falls apart. It's almost like we want to just hand the game over for scum to win. Sadly Cat is right, the consensus from most seems like Fark is clear for some reason I don't fathom. I just hope this doesn't bite us in the ass because it's not like we have a ton of time left before the Day ends.

I'm leaving my vote for now, but I will be going back over again and looking at a couple of other people that piqued my interest to see if I am missing something.

trentonlf: I also will not be on this evening, I have Table Top game night with friends tonight. We are playing Savage Worlds Pathfinder. ff anyone is familiar with Pathfinder it is a fantasy system like D&D, and they collaborated with Savage Worlds, another gaming system that is the best of the three IMO, to make Pathfinder work in Savage World's system.

I was asking seriously. Can we stop with this nonsense and actually play the game?
EBWOP
I asked for your next most likely suspect and why so I can doing two things. Gauge which alignment you might be and if I feel you are being more likely townie then I can decide using your info if I should vote for that player you list or not.
