The summer chillout is in full swing and with it comes a natural drive towards taking things easy. That’s why this GOG GALAXY Day is the perfect occasion to introduce such an approach to organizing your gaming library. We’ll also show you how to get The Witcher: Enhanced Edition free of charge just by installing GOG GALAXY.

Create your unique game library
You can never have too much of a good thing, they say. When it comes to gaming libraries, this saying is surely true. Did you know that an average library on GOG GALAXY consists of 114 titles, while the biggest library has…20,497 games? Just imagine the hardships of navigating through such a formidable collection without the proper tools that GOG GALAXY can provide.

By using the “Assign tags” option next to each title (see the video below), you can easily divide your gaming library into smaller, intuitive collections. This way you won’t lose your favorite titles even after adding to your library of owned games from other platforms and subscription services like Xbox Game Pass, Uplay Plus, and Origin Access.

Get your copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
In addition to helping organize your game library, GOG GALAXY also gives you the chance to claim and keep the famous fantasy RPG from CD PROJEKT RED. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is widely considered one of the most ground-breaking RPGs ever made, and remains a must-play with its mature, non-linear story and challenging combat system.

To get this game free of charge, all you have to do is download the GOG GALAXY client and create an account. Once you’ve done that, head over to the "Recent" view and check the banner at the top. Click the giveaway button if you agree to receive news, updates, and GOG offers. After a while, the game will show up in your game library. This means you are ready to join Geralt of Rivia on his epic adventures!

Celebrate GOG GALAXY Day with us by discovering this useful and easy-to-access app. With it, you’ll be able to build huge libraries of exciting games (including a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition) without getting lost in the process.
I like Galaxy and I use it but I download most of my games as offline installer, too. I like backups.

I miss GOG Downloader.
Pulling up my change log - I'm using the July 2020 build, and that's the most current version. Am I missing something, or has Galaxy really not been updated since then? Does seem a misstep to have a 'Galaxy Day' with no updates.
I'd really love to see a Linux version of Gog Galaxy -- and about 40 000 other games agree with me (https://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/release_the_gog_galaxy_client_for_linux).

I'd also frankly like to see it open-sourced (another popular request).

When are you going to do this? :-(
@GOG
Short lesson about marketing:
First the potential new customer must be made aware of your product, then have a wish to get aquainted with it. So far GOG has been doing relatively alright. Then the customer must like what they see so they stay and buy more. This is where GOG mainly fails. A customer that buys one or two games then refunds them soon after then leaves never to return again and telling a couple of friends how the shop is no good is not the kind of customer you want.

Ah yes, my point related to Galaxy: It is lacking. (Had a look at someone else's pc.) An update is kind of critical. Did you really not spot any security issues or such during this past year?

C1: Talking of the library, the website used to have a brilliant library where you could arrange the games as you wished. It was simple but perfect and then that got "updated" into a system of drop down menus and tags. I don't mind both being available for those that prefer it but I would really like the old library back.
In that case you should use this

Yeah, right...no mention o Linux version as usual. I kinda think it would be MUCH better if GOG just said it clearly "Galaxy for Linux is not happening." I fine with that, actually.

I am sorry, but I still can't see any additional value in Galaxy.

There comes a time in a man's life when he must say: "This is just not my day!"

bhrigu: Also, no Galaxy on Linux.
This is one of Linux many upsides ;)

This push for GOG Galaxy Client is getting on my nerves, how about start celebrating Offline Installer Day ... that's what GOG was all about, not this Steam Clone BS ...

So this was the fourth free game? One that is already free with GWENT? Meh.
Maybe not, because the ARMA ga is still ongoing.

No, they started the whole "anyone who uses Galaxy can claim a free copy of The Witcher!" thing some time ago (perhaps late last year?). This is not a new giveaway, just a reminder about this indefinite -- albeit conditional -- freebie.

andreasmaureder: How about a "we will update all outdated offline installers" day? That would be highly appreciated!

SLP2000: I'd rather have "classic games release day" with multiple classic games released.
This already happens at least a couple times a month -- more frequently in recent months.
For example

1.2 until the day you pry it from my cold dead hands...

Love what you've done for offline / DRM free games, but forcing features I don't want or need in front of basic UI functionality and ease of use just makes me loathe 2.0
The Witcher 1? Really?
