Regarding chests, if you could just say that you are attempting to loot/ open/ unlock the chests in future and then I will see who gets what.

To Green_Hilltop, I acted quickly on the hornet chest in an attempt to get the game moving as at the moment we are just treading water while everyone is still sorting out where they are going.

I am now going to be able to finally start updating the tunnels.

** Top hat chest update **

Several characters make a grab for the contents of the chest once their vision had cleared.

80 - Eranear - Elf Paladin grabbed 1 healing potion before racing into the south tunnel.
55 - StrangerDanger - Elven Ranger manages to grab black gauntlets and 1 healing potion and 1 cure poison potion.
30 - Kyp - Dwarf Ranger collects 4 healing potions and 1 cure poison potion.
7 - Daniel - Human Thief gets the remaining 2 healing potions and 2 cure poison potions.

Green_Hilltop: Come to the south main tunnel with us! :) Together with the north tunnel it's the least crowded (12 people each), or you can pick the side tunnel and hope it reconnect with the main tunnel eventually. It's very small though, only two people can walk in it side by side, that's why I'd prefer the main one. I'll wait to Doc to respond to my chat inquiry first before picking which one I'm going in though.
South tunnel sounds good to me. What say our companions?

Green_Hilltop: In case the other people have gone too far ahead, I'd be happy to join you as well, as I had planned at staying at the chain if I did pull it, but Doc wrote that I was leaving.

By the way, humans, elves and halfings get a penalty for being in the vicinity with Drow, so it might be more advantageous if the drows go together, they also get a bonus when they're close to orcs, and there is already and orc and a drow in the chamber as well.

Lifthrasil: That is a good point. When forming groups, we should practice some racial segregation. Not out of malice or mistrust, but out of prudence. Orcs, Drow and Goblins work well together, as do Humans, Elves, Halflings and Dwarves. ... As long as the Halflings keeps their hands in their own pockets and not in mine!
Oh hey, you're online! You missed out on the chest, was it because you weren't interested or you weren't online (as was my guess)?

Damon is still undecided on what to do...
After the 4 loud noises that came from the tunnels, the confusion seems to reign over the majority of the people
After some thinking I decide to 'accept' the implict invite and run towards the noth tunnel to reach the group that decided to go in that direction

I suggest you move quickly though, before the next update, it's best not to tarry within this chamber longer than neccessary!

I wasn't online for quite a while since I am travelling. Damn. What was in the chest and why didn't I get any of the contents? I was the one opening it.

And was there any trap? This thread is so full that it is hard to find anything from a mobile.

The only action awaiting is most likely the creatures trying to get to you through the grate, which, given their description, is probably not something you might want to wait for.

"There is a metal grate in the center of the chamber, those who are stood nearest to it can here the rapid scraping of many clawed feet getting closer.
You do not want to still be here when they arrive."

With that, I hurry to the main south tunnel with my sword drawn and my shield held fast.

Yeah, I know, I was waiting for you to respond before trying to take any of the stuff, in that case you can have the health potion I took if you want. I thought it would've been fair if you could've pick first. There were black gauntlets crackling with electricity, and several health potions, and some potions of cure disease. It should be on page 22 or 25.

Edit: And yes, there was, your hair turned white.

70 - Thras - Dwarven Mage runs his hands through his wild, newly white hair and a gold ring falls out, landing at his feet.
It must have been shot out of the chest when it was opened along with whatever screamed.
