MarkoH01: I played the Demo yesterday as well. Right now the game is pretty much a mixture of insight into the psyche and thoughts of the main character (who is pretty troubled) and the mystery surrounding that woman. Imo things do happen a bit too quick to be believable but then again to judge this we need to know how much of this is "reality" and what the woman really wants ... both interesting questions that imo can make or break the game in the end. The game is called "Wet NIGHTMARE" so it probably won't be just fun an pleasure in the end. Enjoyed the artstyle but would have loved a few more renders ... and of course voice acting is missing for now.
True, as I was playing it, I did think it would have been nice to have voice acting to accompany some of the writing. The music and sound of the game was used to very good effect though.
Graphics-wise, I'm not a connoisseur, so not 100% certain what you mean by additional renders. I enjoyed the animation combined with the realism of the environment which is part of what drew me to the game in the first place. I did feel some of the backgrounds in the dream section could have been crisper and the eyebrows on the top hair for the "ghost girl" were a little weird, but that could have been a stylistic decision. I absolutely loved the finely shaped athletic lower body and cute face of the girl combined with the cadaver-like torso... combining the lovely and appealing with the macabre and the protagonist's reaction to that which says a lot about him.
In terms of the story progression, I guess it could go several ways. I think we can establish that the guy is most likely a sociopath at the very least and the disappearances are an important element of the story. At this point, we've yet to clearly establish his relationship to that. He could be responsible and she could be his comeuppance in which case she would be that appealing trap that would be whatever she needs to be to get under his skin. She could also be a previous victim recruiting him as some kind of antihero avenger (the scene where he defended his home alluded to that possibility) in which case she would also want to be appealing to him to secure his help. Or she could even be the predator responsible for the disappearance and he could just be the hardest prey she's yet tackled.
Either way, I strongly guess that at this point, the way she is is somewhat of an act for his benefit to lure him in whatever he plans are. To me, she feels a bit like a spider weaving that intricate web to lure in a difficult prey.
