I downloaded the latest version of Bullet Witch tonight and intended to test RapidCRC, but...

Strike one against RapidCRC: It requires installation.

WinMD5Free is portable - you can unpack it anywhere, use it, move it, delete it, etc.

Perhaps I'll install RapidCRC at home later to explore its additional features. Anything in particular it can do that I might find useful?

Edit: This feature - verifying the integrity of backup directories - seems useful, and the video indicates that a portable version of RapidCRC is available. I'll look into it more next time I download a game from Humble.

On Windows at least, I use a fork of HashCheck. It adds a "Checksums" tab to the Properties view of any file or folder I right click on, and supports Humble's MD5, among other hashes such as CRC32 and SHA-1 through 512 and SHA3-256 through 512.
Don't meant 2 derail this thread but does any1 hv a list of games on Humble that r sold DRM-free but later this version was removed from ur library aft u had bought it? Thks.

This one is always on sale, every fucking time I browse their discounted DRM-free listings. It's like We Are the Dwarves was on GOG a year or so ago. :P

And will be on sale until Saturday 19 March, 2022 at 5PM UTC, according to Humble's feed. :P

But that one isn't the 'worst offender', far from it. Take these, for instance:

· The Real Texas - Dusty Skies Edition: 10% off until Wednesday 1st April 2116, at 6PM UTC (April fools? xD)

· Phase Edge: also 10% off until Tuesday 31 December 2999, at 6PM UTC (I guess it must be the most future timestamp permitted by Humble's system).
People might wanna check reviews of those games before buying or voting on GOG.

I give you Onikira: Demon Killer.

Wow, thanks for the advice - I'd have never thought to read player reviews before buying a game. :P

Just teasing ya. Yeah, it was poorly reviewed on launch - but it has had patches, and based on what I've read, I'm thinking there's likely enough good there to be worth its current price. You did realize it's on sale for $1, right?
