I can be pretty dedicated to this thread (for small bursts), but I don't feel like I know well more than half the games that show up here. I looked at my folder for this thread, and there are a little over 50 images in it (over nearly a year). But many of those (maybe even most) have come from me jumping on free turns when others don't feel like drawing. Anyway, if I guess correctly, I'll pass my turn to you.

If you have confidence in me you could start drawing now in anticipation!

I don't think I am correct at all. I just jumped in on the walking trees discussion thinking it might jog someone else's memory. Thanks for the nifty tree screens, though.

Castle of Illusion has an active tree, too. But not the one we're looking for.

I was thinking the design on the tree looked a bit Bomberman-esque, though you said there were no bombs in it. Though, the way the bomb exploded in that cross shape that Bomberman bombs do in the updated picture (as well as Sonic popping like a balloon Bomberman-style) left me wondering if it could be one of the Bomberman games.

I'll guess Saturn Bomberman.

Though, this looks like a full front platformer, and the bomberman games were usually top down. I don´t think I´ve played this one.

Not this one, but I'll give it to you if no-one else recognises the specific boss.

Based on it looking a bit like a side-scroller, I'll also throw out a guess for Pocket Bomberman, which I believe is the only Bomberman game that isn't top-down (or in full 3D, Bomberman Hero).

Hmmm Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past had a tree with a face and trees that released bees, but they weren't the same. The face also didn't look anything like the drawing's. I guess we can rule it out.

I'm not sure we can say Joe has drawn a walking tree. Maybe those roots just grew like that.

Either way, I'm stumped as usual in this thread.
