Qbix: Nah, everybody gets the new code. But Windows 7 was affected the most. Almost impossible to get non-stuttering audio there with the old code. Not sure when the old code precisely broke.

FulVal: Another sound problem is the delay... (DOSBox 0.74 and all old versions, games: Dragons Breath / Dragon Lord, but other games are affected too)
that problem is due to the settings selected by GOG.
Try with the default dosbox settings.
I haven't followed the code development thus far (DOSBox 0.74 has been pretty rock solid for my gaming and retro-OS needs), but I hope that the next proper release will fix the issues with variable refresh rate on my NVIDIA GPU (G-Sync)...

Sry, but that game is not on GoG... I've already tried all settings...

I don't have that game. but the default delay of dosbox is 0.048 seconds. Which is quite low.
Something else might be going on.

If i remember all games works fine only with max 20ms of delay...
Awesome! :D :D :D Great to know that a new release has come and another one is imminent. ^_^
Thanks!

prebuffer is not the total audio delay that you get unfortunately.
with 20 ms prebuffer and default settings of 0.74-2 the delay would be 0.043 seconds
(blocksize/samplerate + prebuffer/1000)

(this formula has not changed and has been the same for many dosbox versions)

Good to see this release.

The one complaint I have had with DOSBox is that it lacks save states and similar features that are found in other emulators.

On the other hand, I remember once using a heavy debug build of DOSBox to make a mod to Might and Magic 2; having debugging features is helpful when trying to modify a program without the source code.
Thanks! Glad to see the MacOS 64-bit version!
DOSbox 0.75 !?
Is this real life? :P

I wonder what GOG will do about it though.. probably they won't update it in the installers, sadly.

We can try to ask...
Good to hear that project is still alive.
Thanks!
Seeing how DB 0.74 is unstable on Windows 10 for some people, me included, I am sure GOG will move over to 0.75 after it has been around for while.

timmy010: is this official dosbox or a fork?
100% official ;)
