Most of the games I want are older AA or AAA, which GOG doesn't get many of, seemingly fewer of as time has gone by. But I'm just one person of course.

Edit: I do hope there's a special AAA Christmas release

Edit 2: I forgot about the RE releases :p

No. Some indies and > 5 yo AA games that should be here aren't. It's really quite a shame GOG can't maintain any momentum after W3 and CP77 releases.

[No].
Aside from some larger indie titles, there's also a vast swathe of Windows 3.x/9x games missing from here. Sure, I get people not wanting to play Photon Chess or any of the TC 3D games, but you had good things like the Moraffware games, the better parts of the Soleau Software collection, Sean O' Connor's games, and even intriguing games like Gravity Well or Zeek the Geek.

Plus there's a giant dotted line around classic edutainment titles, like the Super Solver Series, Amazon Trail, or even Lemonade Stand.

Zoom Platform has gotten quite a few edutainment titles, just fyi

Also I've mentioned Moraff to gog staff before

While GOG doesn't get nearly as many games as I'd like, I've been surprised quite a few times this year. The original Resident Evil trilogy and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance are particularly notable for me. There's also STALKER 2 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (if it actually ends up here), both of which I'm quite excited for.
By and large, no.

I can count the number of games that genuinely excited me this year on one hand, whilst the number that I wouldn't take for free is even higher than previous years.

Nope, in fact these last months have been pretty dry, granted I don't count games like Stalker 2 because it needs at least a year of patching (so it might as well not have been released yet)

I think the year started okayish-decent, and classic REs were a nice surprise, but as a whole I can't say I'm satisfied

Not any more or less than before.

Most of the realistically possible older games (i.e. those that are not stuck in licensing hell or nearly impossible to run on modern system) are already released and as far as newer games goes there are plenty that would interest me to have DRM-free but I am not holding my breath.
Yes,

Current year GoG still includes in their offer releases done by at least 3 publisher houses i enjoy games from.
Yes, actually more than I can buy and play; but I think it's because I have a different mindset than most respondents before me. Personally DRM-free games are more important to me than any specific title or franchise, therefore I'll adjust my needs to whatever is available on GOG.

Of the games released in 2024, I purchased: A Night at the Watermill, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Songs of Conquest, Sovereign Syndicate, The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak, Ys X: Nordics.

There are others I'm interested in, I might buy a couple more for Christmas. Honestly, when I look at my GOG backlog and at all the titles available here, old and new, I'm in no shortage of games to play for the decade to come.
Yes, current year gog does get plenty of games that interest me, so much so that trying to keep up it's an uphill struggle.
Aboslutely. Of course it's a minority of overall releases and there's stuff I'm interested in that we don't get here too. But my all in all my wishlist tends to expand every year.
I've totally lost track of GOG's new releases ever since the re-design of the page, and I don't even know which games came to GOG in 2024. But admittedly, it looks like I only made two purchases here this year, one from 2023, one from 2018, and both were indies, neither a classic game. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm not interested in GOG's 2024 games. I might not even know about them or I didn't think the prices attractive enough yet.

Hurricane0440: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (if it actually ends up here)
I haven't kept up with the news, but are there any news or indication of that coming to GOG?

I am not keeping my hopes up, just so that I am not too disappointed if and when it doesn't. I'm fine if it comes later (than to Steam), I don't recall how it was with the original.

I'll survive if it doesn't come to GOG, but it would certainly be nice, assuming it is any good of course.

In terms of new releases? No, not really.

Most of the games I am interested in are older games, which either GOG already has or they are unlikely to get any time soon, due to license hell or the current IP owners being staunchly pro-DRM. The occasional new game comes along that looks interesting, but honestly the vast majority of it seems like shovelware that is being released, for the sake of having something to release. Or it's AO/VNs, which I have little to no interest in.
