lukaszthegreat: No :)

I like the gametime counting and then seeing my games on a list after i am done with them.

and i do not miss cd days. They were also far from instantaneous. took some time to load the game :

davies92: I'm curious - why do you like to see the game time counting? What does knowing how many hours you've played mean to you?
its fun for me to know how much time i spent on a game and compare it to others (if it works)

i used once xfire to track Baldurs Gate Trilogy (before Galaxy). 157h from candlekeep to last battle of throne of bhaal. one of biggest game I have ever played.

its not that important so if something breaks and it doesnt count the time or counts too much its not a big deal (i have 160h in CP77 which is definitely 50h or so too many. galaxy didnt close before turning off pc and kept counting till next time I played).

dtgreene: Didn't old arcade games keep track of high scores?
For sure, but I kind of meant an online scoreboard type of thing. Some gamers love all that.

vv221: The frustrating part is that all of these features could be provided by KISS software, there is no real need to tie all of them together in some kind of all-purpose games launcher. But everyone still goes that way, trying to emulate Steam instead of focusing on the actual features.
Indeed. Me, I prefer to keep it simple, but accept that I am hardly your average gamer, most of whom seem to want so much more these days.
