darthspudius: The original Witcher. Love replaying that game.

johnnygoging: it's easier to replay a game where the character isn't supposed to be an avatar for you. not saying every rpg should be like that but it is a nice change of pace when it works.
I think less tedious would be the more accurate choice of words.
I don't replay completed RPGs unless it has been many years since the first playthrough, and even then, very rarely.
Baldur's Gate 2 lots of times...
I have replayed Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate many times, Neverwinter Nights is unique because there are a lot of custom made stories you can play through. Also, with long games I usually don't remember everything like with shorter ones so it's easier to replay them.
I love replaying games and experience the entire thing again. It's like food or sex - if I have enjoyed it before I can do it again - many times! In RPGs it's not just about "the story" to me but about "feeling" like another character through immersion. I guess you could call it the comfort of the familiar, the well-known.
I replay them alot, if the gameplay is good. If the game is only about story, like the witcher games, I will not.

For example, I have replayed Baldurs Gate 2, Fallout 2, Dungeon Master, 1&2, Arcanum, Realms of Arkania, Plancescape, Wiz 8, Might and Magic 6-8 about 10-20 times each to experiment with character builds or just to have fun leveling the characters and equipping them well.
My most favourite RPG's I replay a lot, playing several campaigns at the same time in parallel.

I've finished Baldur's Gate 6 times, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn 3 times, Icewind Dale 2 times, Dragon Age: Origins 6 times, Dragon Age: Awakenings 3 times, Titan Quest (main campaign only): 2 times.

In a game I like, I love to immerse myself in it's gameworld and experience it gameplay with different characters and different parties.

The downside is, I hardly finish any other games. If I take a look at my GOG, Gamersgate, Origin or Steam libraries, there's very few games I've finished besides these classics.
I don't usually go back to games. If I do it's for a casual game that doesn't really have a story and is just an enjoyable way to pass the time. I've replayed Peggle for example.
If its a classic like Thunderscape or an indie like Avernum I'll always replay it at some point.
I also enjoy replaying quirky RPGs like the Gothic and Risen series. They are probably my favourite ones.

In general I like replaying RPGs that have something special about them...regardless of how many flaws they have.
If they feel unique I'm more likely to buy them, complete them and replay them.

To me most modern triple-a RPGs don't have a "soul", they look pretty but are not that unique.
Yes, I replay my games a lot. If I enjoyed playing it, then why not?
First time I usually play for the story, when I replay I play for enjoyment. Try something differently. Set to combat to a higher difficulty. Or just enjoy playing agian, and again.
Especially if the game was expensive... I won't pay a lot of money just to play it once :P
Yes.

I have replayed the Mass Effect games quite a number of times. I played the first ME four times, once when it came out, then again just after finishing it because I was pumped, and one 'last' time in preparation for ME2. Then I played the second ME and, once I knew what I wanted in my import save, played it again. When 3 was coming out, however, I decided to replay the entire series again, so that takes both the first and second games to a grand total of 4 and 3 plays each.

I have not had any desire to replay ME3.

DA: Origins, dex thief, cunn thief, arcane warrior.
Baldurs Gate, full set with big World on some. Solo, party etc.
Diablo - all three characters
Diablo 2 - Twice.
GTA 3, Vice City - Done several times over and they are still quite fun.
Resident Evil 1-4
Mario Kart (SNES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Link To The Past (SNES)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Dizzy Games
MOH:AA
COD 1
Witcher 1

Was thinking at first that there wasn't that many, but then just typing this there are a few. Most of the time however the game is just about getting a story across, so kills re-play ability and things like achievements, un-lockables and collectibles, have zero interest for me.
yes i replay them too.
but a remquirement for me to do so is that enough time has passed since my first play and that the game has a good replayvalue which good rpgs usually have.

morrowind for example i played once (ofc not finished it ^^ ), and tried years after again without finishing ofc.
for skyrim some decades have to pass for me to touch it again though i only spend 70 hours is it but it was enough.
fallout3 i replayed too but at a much faster speed, i kinda felt supid clicking all those boxes for loot :S.

diablo2 i replayed several times, once i got tired of one char i tried (after some time ofc) a different one.

games like baldurs gate2 i would replay probably if i have ever enough time to do so (which wont happen this life).

and then there re games like the monster hunter series which you kinda have to replay if you just got the recent version. or you replay just for fun since capcom keeps you waiting for new european release.

To finish this id say we can assume that majority of us has replayed a game at least once maybe right after or after some time. Especially when you played&loved something as kid you wana see it later once again.
I was attempting to replay Final Fantasy V, a long game. And then college came.
Also, I played Final Fantasy VI on the PlayStation till the second half of the game, and then beat the game twice on Android. And its also a long game. So yeah.
I do replay long games. Though i select those very carefully. Older games have a much better chance for being picked up for a replay, while newer games...well...let's say that a lot of time i end up being disappointed.
