Considering EE is supposed to be released "soon" I would wait for it. Since the game is quite long, chances are, you will not finish the original before EE is launched. But then again I do now know how much gaming time you have, so feel free to disregard my advice :)

EE does sound awesome:

The only frustrating thing about how successful DOS2 has been is that they have surpassed one or two major stretch goals before the stretch goals have come out.

While I think Larian is above milking that, many devs would start the first stretch goal at 1 or 2 million (or something past where they were). Or the less honest ones would add something already planned as a stretch goal.

Well, stretch goals are already revealed and one of them was surpassed so I wouldn't worry about that.

I really hope we get the 1,2 million one. I want undead as playable race.

Well, now that it's over a million and only five days in, I don't think you'll have to worry about hitting 1.2m. Indeed, they'll probably have to release another handful of stretch goals near the end; best-guess, historical trends suggest it should break 2m. We'll see, I suppose. I wish they had waited to launch the KS along with the D:OS EE. That would have been some great cross-promotion, given what the EE is promising to be.

I look forward to it coming out. Though some of the upper tier rewards are a bit dumb. Why would I want to pay to have my picture hanging in their office?

New extended tiers are up, including a $40 with the soundtrack (to be included in higher tiers) and a two by two pack at $90 for two copies of D:OS and two copies of D:OS2 (for those who a] have yet to get the first game and b] have a friend who'd like to join the fun). Also a 'late bird' $26 tier for those who didn't manage to get into nabbing the $25 tier, though there's less than 3300 copies left at the current time.

Having got close they said they'd put it in anyway... then changed their minds late into development after discovering how much work full NPC scheduling would involve.

I wonder if there will be some kind of replayability closer to end of game. Aka, some respawning dungeons or something of that kind.

I am glad that Day/Night goal wasn't met. I usually hate Night implementation in games because I don't have good sight. I can't understand why people are so much obsessed with it.
