DadJoke007: I still find gaming addiction odd, especially multiplayer. It's stressful and exhausting, two hours of play is more than enough to make the brain mushy and screaming for variety.
Nothing odd, different brains, different preferences.
Do not make mistake of presuming that everybody thinks like you... unless you are the most boring (wo)man without any character, lol.

Speaking of presuming things, I never said or implied anything among those lines. I mean, it's self-evident that people who are addicted are having a completely different experience from my multiplayer exhaustion. :-)

fortune_p_dawg: i just cant get into online games. i have tried and bounce off of them every time.

i don't like it when people eff with my space & my things and a persistent online world is a space where other people (whether they be players or developers) are encouraged to do just this.

that and yeah, and wife, kids, job, house, other hobbies, and time in general.

that said, these days id say im more addicted to collecting & talking about & and fiddle-faddling around within games now days than playing them as though my life depended on it.
+1 All that.
Are you my alt account?

Then I'll have to ask you why you found it odd, if it's self-evident. Those two are (usually) contradicting terms;-)

YaTEdiGo: I absolutely agree with part of this, i see a friend lost his wife because of WOW, a game I always kept away from me (and similar ones) . But not with the other part, I need to say that many people fall into these addictions, not just on games, not because of the games or the drugs. But for the main reason the video tries to sell as "good", is marriage really so satisfying? <snip>

rtcvb32: I wonder if i would be easier or harder to get into video games if it wasn't for being frugal... or autistic. The biggest thing keeping me probably out of WoW and drugs and drinking alcohol and other forms of escapism, is that i can't justify the cost. I remember being in South Korea, and hearing about soldiers who went off on payday during a weekend, 2 days later come back empty handed and no idea where any of the money went. No i can't justify it, so i don't do it.

But what if i didn't have the experience at 5 and made to be frugal? I wonder...

And personal experience, marriage isn't really that satisfying. But with someone you can trust implicitly, and you can cuddle with while watching a movie... might just make it worth it. Course if there's enough sex, that certainly would make it worth it...

And yet things still come down to politics... Government makes laws that affect the jobs or ability to make jobs, which affects income, which affects you ability to have stuff and a house, which affects your being able to have a girlfriend or wife. No wonder people seek escapism, because they aren't given a chance at what would actually be good.
Didn´t read it until now, I was busy out of the forums. I agree.

DadJoke007: Finished the video now, fascinating and depressing at the same time.

I still find gaming addiction odd, especially multiplayer. It's stressful and exhausting, two hours of play is more than enough to make the brain mushy and screaming for variety. I have to go on a search engine information binge regarding this subject.
Where can we see the video? :) and what software do you use for making it?
