If i bought the descent series on an old account will that account still be able to download the games, as they have been taken off the site due to payment reasons. I miss them so much.
Yes, all removed games are still available to those who bought them.

thanks, do you know if they updated the game to run on windows 10 before it was removed?
I imagine the first two games will run fine via Dosbox, can't tell you about the third.

ok thanks, even though i have no idea what that means apart from the fact that thats the logo at the start of the game.

All three Descent games had Windows 10 support before they were removed.
There is a new Descent game in the making. Trailer is up on steam.

The first two Descent games were originally DOS games and wouldn't normally run on modern versions of Windows. GOG fixes them using a piece of software called "DOSBox", which lets you run games in a virtual PC of sorts. That means that the basic versions of Descent 1 & 2 are able to run on anything that will run DOSBox (including your Android smartphone).

I know there is a new game but I will only buy it for the single player game as descent without single player isn't descent. Each level with its own secrets, that's what I love.

And thank you jamyskis

Descent: Underground is Multiplayer with single as an afterthought, Overload is single-first, from what I understand. Overload isn't out yet, of course, but a playable teaser is available on Steam. I think that one's going to be just the thing to get our Descent juices flowing again.

Yeah Descent juices. I said it.
There are a couple of source ports that allow you to run Descent 1 and 2 on windows.
Sublevel Zero Is a damn good game on its own.. its basically Decent in a procedural generated "rouge like" universe. it plays very well with perfect 6DOF controls; Its also retro as hell!

I was a little skeptical at first but after loading it up, I'm very happy with my decision to try it out ^_^

I first read this as "decent series" and wasn't entirely sure what to expect.

I wouldn't recommend playing Descent just using GOG's dosbox setup. Descent is somewhat unique in that it's original source code is public, so there's source ports out there which enable you to play them in modern resolutions with graphics effects and all the rest. Check out Rebirth.
