Just so you know, The Suffering was released for free, sponsored by the US Air Force, quite some time ago. I can't post any links, so go to PCGamingWiki and search for "The Suffering", there will be "Free version" section there.

BreOl72: Why should this game(s) be treated differently from all the other delisted game(s)?

u2jedi: Because they're Good Old Games....
Sorry, but that response makes zero sense.

Right, the version with ads, IIRC.

Didn't Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy also get a similar treatment with a free release with ads, IIRC?

EDIT - Checked PC Gaming Wiki: yep, it got a free version. Thought so.

I didn't know, I haven't played it. But there's this:
"Install the AiO Unofficial Patch or The Suffering Widescreen Fix to remove the online DRM".
So maybe it will remove those ads.

According to a comment, the ads have been removed already years ago, but if you apply the AiO patch, it runs.

I tried it. Applied a German language patch, too...and it starts just fine.

Didn't really play now, only watched the intro movie to the point, where the actual gameplay sets in...works fine, the only slight complaint that I have, is that the mouse movement is a little fast.
The settings also didn't really help to slow it down.

But that's a minor gripe.

Edit: played a little longer...so far zero ads (didn't expect 'em, to be honest), and the game runs fine (Win 10).

There is only a GoG version, so far at least, available on a store. Perhaps this "free version" but this is surely not comparable to the GoG version.

I still think, the game would have been with better sells at a slightly lower price or a bundle with 7-8 coins each or as a bundle 10-12 coins, around this range. At least for my country, the price asked it rather high (over 10 CHF each), if we take into account there is a "free version" somewhere... although, for the FIRST game only, not the second one it seems.

There was also Area 51, which I think was the third and last of that bunch of games that Midway released for free.

Yigdboz: Wishlist entries for ObsCure and ObsCure: The Aftermath (a.k.a. ObsCure 2), if you haven't voted for them already:

Thanks, will add my vote for them.
Is there a chance for a final sale?
Sucks to see them disappear. I hope they'll be back soon as some kind of enhanced version or even proper remastered versions. Would be a shame if people couldn't get these anymore in the future.

Swedrami: A fairly recent (from 2022) review of, I think both The Suffering and Ties That Bind, in case you're looking for a second opinion.

I Am Death Incarnate
Age-restricted though.
Nice. I had a feeling it would be that video.
I don't know if i should get the second game but i am interested in the first one. So discount please.

It would be great if GOG could somehow convince Ubisoft to bring Cold Fear here, another oldish survival horror game.

Old is not equal to good. On top of that, asking Ubisoft?

Uplay-version works w/out DRM and came out before the UPLAY era, so...this actually coming to GOG would make sense.
