We’d like to inform you that, due to publisher's request, Raiden III Digital Edition will be delisted from our catalog on Saturday, December 31st, 3 PM UTC.

For everyone who purchased the title prior to delisting, it will remain in their GOG library.

Tell all of the publishers to stop requesting that games be removed. Man...
Wasn't the best of ports, but still sad to see it go... hopefully it will return to GOG someday.
Another victim of Remasteritus.
is price going to change in the next day?
Thanks for the heads up, already have it thankfully.
How is it a port? The arcade version runs on an embedded version of XP. This is the arcade version without the coin-up, AFAICT. Compare this with real hardware.
Thanks for the warning GOG, saved me some heart break.

Dunno, this thread from 2007 sings its praises and seems to think the PC release is superior to the PS2. Guess that would be the original Japanese PC release.

Raiden 3 PC better than PS-2 version and Raiden 4...

Negative comments on the store page are probably true about the lack of PC graphical tuning options. It appears to be the english localization of a 2006 pc port of a 2005 arcade game.
damn the game is not on sale lol
Probably will come back eventually as Mikado remix (at least on steam), I bet it will get the same treatment as Raiden 4. No idea why these new versions with remixed ost warrant such dramatic delistings of classics 6 months ahead. Only good thing they could bring is some better scaling or higher resolution support out of the box.

Still, would very much prefer if they fixed what is actually broken... y'know, like Raiden Legacy collection (I know, different dev/pub, but still). Raiden 3 and 4 were both barebone releases, but ran just fine.

I don't think so.

This, thankfully I bought this and Raiden 4 already which the latter is already delisted. I predict that Irem will be next as they tend to be jerks and pull earlier than expected. They pulled their games off the Wii U eShop MONTHS ago.
The game got silently removed from Steam 1~2 hours ago. Clock is ticking for the GOG version...
Bought it in January 2019 for less than 2€ :)

Last time it was on sale in June 2021 however. I would not expect a sale anytime soon.
