The Witcher 3 is DRM-free.
DRM-free is good.
Dark Souls 3 is bad. :P

Considering DS1 was my all time worst game ever, I wouldn't think a bad console port No.3 with added DRM (so as to stop valid customer use and modding, sorry piracy, must phrase it per developer standpoint) is likely to warm me any to this version. So if they were handing it out with free blowjobs and a yacht, they could still insert it into an applicable orifice - assuming of course they could get permission from the IP owner to do such a thing.
Super extra hard! So hardcore! LOL at the noobs. You won? WOW, your cock must be so huge! Now find someone saying it's too hard, and tell them how you played the whole thing using na electric toothbrush as a controler! Hail to the King, baby!

I'm sorry, I have never actually played Dark Souls, and I don't know whether it's a good series, and I don't mean to say that everyone who enjoys it is an asshole... just to me that series embodies the dick-measuring, git-gud side of gaming, which I really hate.

I think the only thing they have in common is the no. 3

I believe violent insertion into applicable orifices is a default feature in Dark Souls. Players' orifices, that is.
Well DS3 is DS and TW3 is TW. I don't really consider them to be remotely the same game. Both good PC games.

Sucks about the cheating in DS3 though.

I tired DS1 and I hated it, it was very very bad PC port. Because of this I missed DS2 too.

I watched a lot of video about DS3 and the hype got me.
I won some cs:go skins with bettings I sold these so I could buy DS3.
It was a little bit uncomfortable at the beginning because of the controller but I've got used to it and I really enjoy the game now.

I think the port is good except 1-2 things.
The targeting system is awful sometimes... When there are 5-6 weak enemies around you but you want to target the 7th - who will kill you immediately - but it is impossible.
Or when you fight with Curse-Rotted Greatwood the game is targeting his body but you want and you need to hit his legs and arms,..
When you try to hit an enemy near to a cliff's edge, the mob falls down and your character goes after automatically....
And the camera went to the wall middle of a fight sometimes....

So I hate the fact that the game in some cases is hard only because you can't really control your character.
But except this, it is really great game and I didn't regret i bought it.

And I can't compare to the Witcher 3, because I dont have that sadly :(

Yeah and the game challenging only if you play it alone, if you summon somebody for boss fights or to reach bonfires it is not the same game.

I just finished it yesterday. Dark Souls 3 felt like perfection for the series, if you enjoyed the first two games. It takes all the best things from both Dark Souls 1 & 2.

And it's a pretty good port, my system is under the listed minimum requirements and I got 40 - 60 FPS at all times on the High quality preset. It has some minor texture streaming issues when changing areas. For the record, Dark Souls 2 was also a great port. Dark Souls 1 was and still is pretty bad, but DSFix repairs all the issues.

I'm not sure how to compare it to The Witcher 3. Other than some similarities with the combat and perspective I don't consider them the same genre.

I agree with you about the camera issues, it really sucks when you die simply because you can't see.

But considering the scope of some of the bosses and areas it's probably impossible to eliminate all camera issues.

There's a few bosses where auto-targeting should never be used, that's one of them. :)

I know that is just great. As far I'm concerned From Software did A-OK and deserves a pat on the back for this.

something needs to be done about the cheating though. the biggest problem is that it's so easy for cheaters to ensnare people who are playing normally in their bans. it's fucked. never seen that in a game before.

but yeah From Software, way to go. You did a good PC release. Nice job. major respect. I'd recommend DS3 to people who don't even play DS because it's just a good game, good PC release.

Honestly after the first two days I just switched the game to offline mode, unless one of my buddies wanted help with a boss or something. I just got sick of being gang banged in the Farron Swamp or Anor Londo, literally 3 seconds after being ember'd. PVP isn't an important part of the game for me anyways, and in Dark Souls 3 even PVP-centric covenant items can be obtained while offline.

Why a lot of people like the challenge is because it reminds them of the past games where you couldn't save everywhere you go. It doesn't coddle you like some new games.
It's not an e-peen meter for everyone.

I never really liked the PVP setup in the game. The way it is it almost encourages griefing. It's like Rust that way.

Yeah and DS3 is the worst for that. I guess if PVP was important to me i'd have to give DS3 a fail. Bad latency, multiple invasions at the same time, no way to make NPC enemies hostile to the invaders, balance issues like busted Poise and Estoc whoring.

I still might flip it back to online permanently for another play-through down the line once they get some stuff fixed and invader population thins out.

Dsfix, whilst very good doesn't fix all the errors. Nothing would. Graphics are eye gouginingly bad, I mean really fecking awful, shaders are wrong, textures are rubbish. Auto aim, fail. Auto save, fail. Control is terrible, forces you to use controller. Camera spins wildly at menu, if you can find the menu or work it out. No story. Not to mention its linked to steam. Seriously, there is absolutely no saving grace to this digital turd on pc.
