Saw TB playing an hour plus of it from start.
One of first parts, there is a boss fight. Some spiky crystal type lizard, so guess not all bosses are humanoid in armour ;)

Some good news. Seems now that they have got shot of the soul memory crap, you can now join any player, as long as have similar level weapons.

Also can set a password, so you can play with cronies, making more co-op style \o/

Oddly, I was in DS2 other night, summoned someone near Hag. Instead of going to the main boss of that area, we did the optional Pursuer boss, then ran around killing all mobs, before heading to the big boss (one armed tree like thingie) & summoned another player whilst there.

Whilst it`s a shame the bosses don`t scale, it was still more fun going co-op.

As for required system spec, the min` is still really low.
If you don`t turn everything to max, may still run fine.

mmmm, you're actually right, they updated the specs as before it was the Core 7/8Go RAM which was considered minimal. Well, I'll stay wait before purchasing though (and I still have to finish the DS2 DLC's)

For boss scaling, they removed the "bonfire ascetics" system :(

And yeah, DS2 is a lot of fun in co-op, I just that people won't all go "password-only" since I find it more interesting to play with random strangers which can lead to surprises ^o^
Shame, but seems I was right.
Forums are full of folks with problems, from constant crashes, to epileptic inducing flashing in game.
Also seems M&KB set up is even worse than it was in DS2, with someone I know was not even being able to get Shift key to be recognised.

It's Bandai Namco. Japanese publishers/developers are crap for sure. -.-

They have good plans, designs, but bad at execution..
mmmm, not really surprising since there are almost always problems on launchday for highly expected games. Anyway, from what I've read when the game doesn't run on technical problems (mostly coming from bad coding rather than hardware issues), it actually runs pretty fine on the lowest specs requirements. So let's wait for patches and ine one month, all of this will be forgotten :)
And if ya'll missed it, South Americans were able to get the deluxe version (season pass) on price glitch for 14 pesos ($0.75). So anyone in those regions that's interested in a copy should definitely trade for it. :)
My new PS4 is calling me to get this game...
Must not resist...
Must go to the shop within the next hour...
To not be tempted to get DS3, I re-installed DS1 and resumed my latest save (had a previous one of more than 60 hours which got dumped by GFWL) and it's quite interesting to notice the good/bad aspects of it, a few years later and after clearing DS2.

- Technically: Oh lord, my eyes hurt! the HUD is really too big by default, using DSfix doesn't really solved it as I got glitches like the poison build-up showing twice or the boss health not showing up. Also, I have the infamous "unable to adjust brightness in fullscreen" bug (though after many research I found a workaround to play FS)

- The co-op : apart from though bosses fight there aren't really incentives to play co-op. The loss of health in DS 2 was a good way to push the player to play online and actually more well-thought (can uses estus flasks, can be summoned for limited time). In DS2, co-op was my main way to get back my humanity.

- Blighttown / Sen's Fortress: Did these two areas this afternoon and they're really still cringing and infuriating. :o) It's interesting to notice that in DS2, the "platform" aspect has vanished and having seen speedrun of DS3, this type of gameplay seems also absent (maybe present in some optional zones). Apart from the spike of difficulty, they're interesting from a design point of view as the combat aspect is secondary in these zones (the closest in DS2 would be The Gutter but it was way too easy IMO).

- 2 ring slots: Urgh..... Since the majority of players will wear the famous "ring of favor and protection", there is only one slot left for the whole rest of the game :(

That's it from the top of my head fot today. Quite fun to get back into the game and can't wait my next play session to throw shit and bombs at the Capra Demon through the wall because it's my most hated boss fight if done regularly :o)
